The worst part of this loss is the fact that the coaches can once again point to “a couple of plays going our way” and it’s a different game. The team will not get the right message and we will face a tough test next week.

That being said we have a let down possibility from Miami after they beat Pitt.

The coaches will convince the players we are close to 7-1. I think they should be convincing them we are closer to 1-7.

Losing next week will make a bowl game a difficult prospect. I like positive thinking and coaching but it HAS to come with doses of reality and accountability.

Substitute "bowl game" where applicable.

I actually feel sorry for Collins.
Remember he voluntarily helped Oleary recruit in the 1990s. He’s from the Atlanta area. He loves Georgia Tech. Nobody wants to win more than him. He’s just not there yet in terms of being a head coach. There are a lot of assistant coaches on his staff that love Georgia Tech as much as any of us too. A lot of them played for Technand want to win.

Maybe they will all take a pay cut until they get more proficient at their jobs.

Maybe Coach Pastner will drunk text him at 2am to cheer him up.

Feel sorry?

Home boy is running our beloved program into the ditch.

I’m not sure he is intentionally doing it. He loves GT but is in over his head as HC
If you make definitive decisions like how you idiotically manage practices or hiring frat bros for your staff or totally bombing recruiting, you don’t get a mea culpa on the destruction left in your wake.

If he loves GT, he needs to step down.

Unfortunately I'd say the loss this week made a bowl a difficult prospect. A loss next week would make it an impossibility.

I don’t know man. Collins or not, what we pay our assistants isn’t great.

I completely agree. We need to find a way for him to be involved in the program. His vision is legit. It’s something we can build. He just doesn’t have a bad cop right now to actually drive his players to be their best beyond believing it to be true.
