Well I mean you brought up the national championship in relation to the 1-win season. Did the staff that won 1-game lead us to the national title? If not I don’t see how it’s a relevant data point.

Sure. Why wouldn’t they be? They are getting much better players and GT sometimes catches lightning in a bottle.

All we have to do is score 1 more point than every team we play and we are national champions. Of course, if we go that route, I will die of stress about game 9 or 10.

That staff won 2, then 3, then 7, then a national title. Is that relevant?

Other than Rice or dook or Tulane or something- who is going to wait 4 full years for a break even season?

You realize the GT folks were ready to run that entire staff off before 1990, right? Things weren't "keep Ross, Fridge, and GOL around, great staff" there was actually a lot of "fire their asses" going around.
