Week 1 Thread??

You're trolling right? CU was 1-11 last year. If they pull off a win here it would be like saying us beating Louisville doesn't mean anything because the test is against, ugag clemson unc etc.
Colorado has 70+ new players versus the 1-11 team from last year. TCU isn’t on the level of Clemson, UGA, USC, Oregon, Utah, etc. 1 fluke season doesn’t make a program like TCU into a juggernaut.

And Sanders will be gone to whatever SEC or NFL team has an open HC position. It’s no secret that this is likely a 2 year project at Colorado. No one thinks this even close to a long term coaching stop.

Same would have happened had GT actually took the risk. The only school where his name came up where he likely would have stayed longer than 3 years is Auburn. And Auburn wasn’t going to take that risk after the disaster they’ve gone throw over the last 4 years.

… and that’s still better than getting bootyblasted most weeks for the last four years. Would put the AA in a much better financial scenario. Would also give jbatt two years to find a capable hire. I’m not arguing against not hiring Deion, just you guys having your panties in a bunch over these excuses must be glass half empty kind of people.

I think you have me confused with others. What excuses am I making for anything? I was all for hiring Deion until I saw the way he handled the portal. To force kids to transfer and or reportedly ignore players who refused to transfer isn’t the right way to handle building a program. There’s no way he could have done the same thing at GT.

The financial positive impact would certainly have been felt. I have a feeling that game last night would have been a complete sellout. Likely more fans of Deion vs just GT, but that’s OK.

If Colorado wins 5 games, that’s a great job by Sanders. The team definitely looks better than most people thought they would look. But let’s not act like TCU didn’t lose a good portion of starters from that dream season last year.

You said “and Sanders will be gone in two years”.

Also, it’s all good man but this isn’t college football anymore. The longer we stick our heads in the sand ignoring facts the worse GT football will suffer.

I think I have a theory. Y'all want to see deion fail so bad in order to have no regrets from not being able to hire him... Boom, makes so much sense

You said “and Sanders will be gone in two years”.
He will be gone in 2 years. Colorado is nothing more than a stop gap to prove himself in order to get an SEC or NFL job. How do you not understand that? That’s not a secret at this point.

Because so far that's only a negative contention on his integrity and commitment

You did it post an edit to the post after I had replied. I don’t disagree with you about the ever changing landscape of CFB. But that’s a GT problem to figure out, no one else’s.
No I didn’t. I edited a post after that to try and be cordial.

In order to imply deion would be even be able to use CU as a stepping stone tool you'd have to accept the implication of success there

At this point, you'd think 9/10 gt fans would want success no matter how fleeting it may be

But no we want mediocre integrity

Here is where I answered to if he leaves in two years.
