What a huge letdown of a game

The Akron transfer is the second worst QB to wear a GT jersey that I've ever seen behind only Corey Booker. GT may not win another game until Sims can go again. Final stat line was 10 of 25 for 99 yards. 4 yds/completion. A sobering 51.9 QBR. Before the final two drives that QBR was in the 30's. A shame that Brent Key's candidacy will run aground on a twice rolled ankle. Well it was fun having hope for a week or two. Looking forward to new hires in the revenue sports to finish, finally, mercifully, the Bobinski cleanup within the GTAA.

They should have brought in the exClemson QB who is big and can run. Anything but "just don't make an effort". We also should give our OL a chance to simply hit somebody in the mouth instead of all the misdirection, zone, slow moving plays that get nothing. Or how about a simple rocket sweep or toss sweep without linemen.

The team's inability to play error free ball coming out of the break is all on Key. I like Key but he has nothing to offer on our sideline. Look at the UVA coach, coaching, pumping guys up, firing them up.

The only thing Sims does is open up the field from his ability. That is usually a good quality for a qb but he has no idea and hasn’t been taught how to use it. Maybe he could get it one day but he hasn’t been taught or is a wr.

It's a little unfair to blame Gibson, give him a chance to grow at the D1 level....with an OL that works a little better. Play after play came back against him....By the way, my God the refs absolutely sucked against Tech in the first half. When you suck as a team for so long, the refs give you nothing.

Gibson started out ok, then fell apart.

The level of WTF was strong.

Spinning to evade pressure only to slip and fall or have your OL pushed into ... and then slip and fall.
Cannot pass when sprinting to his non-dominate hand to save his live .... prefers to scramble that way when in the pocket.
The constant hunting for the deep pass when he's overthrowing screens and shallow crossing routes and collecting sacks.
Happy feet.
Eyes no longer look downfield when pressure mounts
Doesn't seem to know where the check down is

I mean come on. Was Weinke spending ALL his time with Sims??

It's not unfair to blame Gibson. Guy's getting a $100K+ free ride and spent most of the evening overthrowing WRS, tripping over his own feet, or just strangely running into the DL and getting sacked.

And then just running OB when the clock red 0:00 instead of even trying a miracle Hail Mary? Would love to hear that bullshit justified.

It wasn’t against UGA but that was up there with throwing it OB on 4th down
