the most is that we have NO WR's committed and only one offer on the table to a 3 star that is not committed, according to Scout.

bogey...you don't need WR when you run the ball 70% of the time :laugher:

I think we all better get used to this!

We also have plenty of WRs also and have Melton starting school this month. We will probably also see someone switched to WR from another position before all's said and done.

33, please tell me you are kidding and it ain't so. I'm hoping for 60%.

Yeah I'm with Contact and 33. I think we'll be in the 75/25 range.

My optimistic hope is to see 300 yards rushing and 150 yards passing per game.

And rest assured GT, people here WILL complain about that measly 450 yards.

If GT is only rushing for 300 ypg, PJ will not be happy. The number better be closer to 400 on the ground, and more than 100 in the air. PJ is a 500 ypg on offense kind of guy. That's what you can expect...

If we're getting 100+ through the air, I would expect at least 300 on the ground, if not 400+. The 100 through the air should be a suitable distraction for the ground game...keep the safeties back.

But it works the other way, too. If we're getting 300+ on the ground, I would kinda expect to see a couple passes that went for a good distance to give us 100-200 yards passing for the game.

Try 85%, if Navy is any indication. The next run first team was closer to 70%.

Gailey loved the rushing game, but Johnson married it.

We'll see if the triple option (and yes, that's what it is) works at this level. It will be interesting.

I think there is a reason that PJ sent our offensive coaches to West Virginia to watch their bowl practices for two days. They then went to New England for a day or two of practices.

The big question is whether our offense will be ready for much passing next year...and whether Josh Nesbitt will be ready for much passing. It all depends on our QB. He knows we have to be able to be somewhat effective in the passing game when we need to be.
