What does the 404 mean to you?

Who would've ever guessed that partially-literate GA recruits from the Atlanta exurbs wouldn't care about playing in Midtown

404 is just a gimmick for young people. Last coach had to use smoke and mirrors to beat superior teams. The new coach needs smoke and mirrors to recruit highly rated players.

I have always wondered why recruits in the 770 would want to play for the 404? Just seems like a pitch from yesteryear when 'the 404' represented most of Georgia north of Macon.

If that's the only time you start threads, then yeah that would make you a whiny little bitch in that situation.

None of us are happy with losing but everyone in the country was saying it was going to take 4 years to reset that roster. It's why TStan gave up a 7 year contract because he know there was going to be some hard times no matter who the coach was. We don't have the cash to buy out the remaining four years and the guy is recruiting well. Hopefully they turn it around next year when we don't have such a difficult schedule and have more experienced players and some of the other younger recruits have started getting playing time.

Regardless, if Collins turns out not to be the guy then our roster will be in better shape than it was when he got here.

My concern here is how many more records are set against us during this time? I hate losing as much as the next person, but losing 1-2 TDs vs a record scoring blowout is another. If the talent gap isn't that far anymore...why is the product on the field showing otherwise. I gave him 3 years but now starting to be concerned at the foundational issues.

Because the talent gap is still large, and the good talent are only in their second year.

Once again...the rest of the football world says FOUR years for talent turnaround. I know we GT people like to think we're the smartest people in the bunch but THREE is less than FOUR. And the contract is still for SEVEN years.

So bitching & moaning about it right now when there is absolutely ZERO chance of getting rid him and paying a buyout is meaningless and fruitless. If we're still having this discussion at the end of next year, then it's a valid concern. Until then, all the complaining is just wind.
