What GT item did you buy to get ready for the Season?

I have gotten a couple of pictures to frame. Two new statues, a couple of hardback books related to Tech, couple of t-shirts, two new caps, a box of cigars for victories, and buying a new fridge for my "Wreck" Room.

Can't wait for Fan Day!
 
Hey NorthLake Buzz, I found some gold flags for sale at the Autozone car parts store. They were less expensive than the bookstore, too.

For this Fall, I bought one of those coaches polo shirts. White with the Black GT and trim and gold sleeves. It looks good with black pants or khaki's.

framing as well as an autographed copy of "Focused
on the Top" and a '70s era Peach Bowl pennant with
GT on it.

Coldbeer, Where'd you find that plate?? Sweet. I want one if you wouldn't be offended if I had the same one. Man, that would look sweet on my car.

<font size="2" face="Arial, Verdana, Sans-Serif">Go for it Terrific! It's not like I'm the only one in town with the plate or something.

I got my GT plate at a truck/SUV place in Lilburn off Indian Trail, west of US 29 a few years ago. I think it's called Leer or Leer's. But I might be wrong. There is also sister stories in Conyers, Jonesboro, Marietta, Macon, and maybe Gainesville, IIRC. They sell Van/Truck conversion & hitches type stuff. They had a great selection of laser cut collegiate license plates for virtually every major 1-A school in the south in a variety of colors (black, blue, gold, silver for GT).

I haven't purchased anything yet - I'm still recovering from the end-of-season baseball clearance. I hope the bookstore is ready for me on the 31st.

I am broke until my Check clears then I may go buy some nice hat and cap and liscense plate to go above my bumper sticker that says "I like cat... tastes Just like chicken."
 
I had occasion the other day to call the 800# at The Robbery and found a vast reservoir of customer service in Donna, the gal who handles mail order items; her dad was a purchasing agent at Tech for 31 years and she just came to work there a year or so ago. I was seeking some small kid sizes for my niece and nephew and she went out onto the floor several times to check sizes and availability for me! She indicated a new catalog was about to come out with a lot of new stuff in it so get ready to spend guys; didn't ask who would get one in the mail so you may want to call and request one!

six new polo shirts, a new "yellow" portable color tv, a new tailgate table, umbrella, chairs, drinks holders (all GT), seven new baseball caps, GT cooler, a GT belt, GT walking shoes, and a dozen or so other items. Nothing major though.
 
A GT belt???? Where can I find that! I already have matching vegas gold golf shirts and polo shirts, my plain brown leather belt is throwing me off!

Also, if anyone knows where I can find an inexpensive 20' portable flagpole with tire stand I could use it. The cheapest i've found online is $82 at American tailgater. The one I rigged up last year with conduit pipes and plumbing fittings may not make it! I'd also like to get an EZ up canopy but $200 most anywhere is a little steep.

The bookstore needs to get its act in gear. They should have merchandise in every shade of yellow all year round

Ok, hope you get this; belt is at the Bookstore in both black or brown. The telescoping flagpole like the one I have been raising on Techwood at Bobby Dodd way the last five years with the "Wreck II" can be found at Condor Flags in Norcross. And as for the popup tents, they are at Costco just a little further up 85 in Duluth.
 
I saw a GT leather belt in the Leather Shop in Helen, GA. a few years ago.
