Clemson and GT both have plenty of talent on their respective rosters. I think overall, from a depth standpoint, GT has better talent --particularly at RB.
This game is normally tight and, as it turned out, last night was no exception. The big difference in the two teams last night was the men on the sidelines --CPJ is a much better coach than DS and the first quarter was a prime example of that.
The fake field goal pooch kick coming out of a timeout was stupid --who didn't see that coming? Sure the execution was horrible --the ball went right to Tarrant and there were only three Clemson players on that side of the filed that he had to get by --but why do that? In contrast Tech's fake field goal TD was a thing of brilliance.
Giving up a 24 point lead was a bit shocking --I wouldn't have believed Tech would have needed a field goal in the final minute to pull the game out. But they did pull it out. As pissed off as I was with the lack of intensity, execution, seemingly giving the game away --I was proud to see GT come back when they had to and persevere. Give Clemson some credit too --they didn't quit when nothing was going right for them in the first 20 minutes of the game.
It goes down as a win --a conference win --a conference win against a team that traditionally GT plays tight games with. Hopefully this will serve as reinforcement to this relatively young team that you've got to play 60 minutes of football against quality opponents --of which there are plenty on the schedule this season.

Of course I know that he isn't disappointed that we won. It was a poor attempt of some kind of drunk humor that I had in my head at the time. I guess I should have put a smiley face or something in there.
I understand that people have concerns but alot of people are acting like the sky is falling. Questioning CPJ, saying we need a new QB, etc. And all of it is coming after a big win for us. I just don't understand why there is such a big panic.
