What will it take

GTAA has proven time and again to piss away any money they get. Why are we doing the edge center renovation? Pay off the debt, we'll need the ability to balance the books when we're left out of a conference reshuffle.

Even better--take a portion of that Edge $ and say that we are using the NIL to find the best 10 offensive and D-linemen that we can.

No, no, no. Paying off debt is for suckers. You complain until someone cancels it and meanwhile keep buying expensive stuff

Way to take this out of context.

Whether or not you were being facetious, I want you to know that this comment makes me violently angry.

Remember how Kansas State brought back Bill Snyder? We need to do that with Paul Johnson. He'd find a way to win with our talent. And he'd pick a better DC this time.

Bill Snyder was 69 when he returned to Kansas State. Paul Johnson is 66
CPJ has no interest in returning to coaching. In an interview on XM Radio last year, he said he thought he would have the itch to return after a year or 2, but has no interest anymore. Enjoys his life in AZ playing golf.

Also, I think you’re forgetting CPJ went through 5 DC’s. Wommack, Groh, Kelly, Roof, Woody. By recruiting average star he recruited better on D vs O, but again, DL recruiting was an issue under CPJ like it’s been pretty much for all GT HC’s.

GT’s problem isn’t scheme related, it’s a jimmy & joes issue. Talent will always make a coach look good.

Bummer. Maybe he'll get tired of golf. You're right that it was firstly a talent issue. Johnson and his staff didn't recruit great on the DL. But, the defensive talent level was better than it is now. We usually had at least one or two future NFLers on the DL. Gotsis, Attaochu, Barnes, and more.

We have two issues going on. Talent isn't where we need to have it (DL depth and LB) AND we have poor coaching/bad schemes for what we have. Dook made the right hire and now look at them. Perennial bottom dweller in terms of football and now they pack their stadium FULL. They are winning and play inspired defense. Key has his work cut out for him.

Its a long uphill fight now for sure.Only if he can rally to 5 wins with clem or uga can he progress.

No Powerball. No GT YellowJacket successes. No Cubs in the playoffs. I think your luck is doomed to mediocrity or less.

I mean did you watch the Bears game? I have nothing :lol2:

How much money does Bowling Green spend?
Man, you're better than that answer. Would you switch teams with them? Athletic budgets with them? Facilities with them? Of course not. Name a program you would switch any of the above with that doesn't spend a ton of money.

I just find the argument about money absurd. We have way more money than they do and they beat our asses and screwed our sisters yesterday.

And we paid them a million dollars to do it.
