After watching T-Day... im not surprised that the offense look challenged... the defense looked good enough to keep us in games... maybe the offense will come around hopefully...

Wins:
JSU
GW
Duke
UVA

Toss-ups:
BC
Miss. St.
FSU
UNC
Miami

Definetly Underdogs:
VT
UGA
Clemson

we should beat duke, uva, GW, and JSU... i feel good about BC, Miss St., FSU, and Miami... i'm not sure about UNC bcuz they have talent but I dont know how they'll do... we should be underdogs against uga, vt, and clemson... i think we'll be somewhere between 6-6 and 8-4 (maybe 9-3 if we get lucky like WF in '06 and UVA last year)

Here are my revised predictions on 08

Jville St W
MSU L
Duke W
GW W
UVa L
FSU L
UM W
BC L
VT L
Clem L
UNC W
UGAg L

Not trying to be a flamer. Just too much develop gotta happen and too few returnees,

Im going 7-5. Wins against Gw,Duke,Jsu,Uva,Unc,Miami,Bc. I would play very happy going 7 and 5 this year with the whole coaching change.

The thread said, with what you saw at T-day.

I'd say 5 wins, that's it. I was very disappointed.

There's only three games on the schedule that I think we will be big-time underdogs, and those are VT, Climpsun, and UGAg. BC, FSU, UM, UNC, UVA, and Miss State are all games that I'd say are too close to call right now. Duke, GW, and JS should be wins.

I say we beat Climpsun, FSU, UM, UVA, Miss State, Duke, GW, and JS, for an 8-4 season.

I saw that the offense looked bad, but the defense looked good, and what some people are forgetting in the "doom and gloom" is that on the coupla plays and series the offense worked, it was a freakin buzzsaw.

Well, after we 'canned Chan' last year everyone was saying that this team was loaded with talent like never before and the new coach would be expected to win immediately. Therefore, I expect a top 25 finish and a minimum of 8 wins with a win over UGA.

Actually my expectations weren't affected at all by T-Day. What we saw was a team still learning an offense. The only relationship I think we see between that scrimmage and the team that takes the field in the fall is the work ethic that PJ is instilling and the effort.

What he said.

Hopefully 'tween now n' nen the new deal starts to gel.

I think it can happen despite the X # of practice days we have left but it will bee up to the staff and I have a lot of faith in the staff right now.

I figure the odds bee fifty-fifty. (Frank Zappa/Overnite Sensation)

GO TECH!!!

5 and 7.....I know it was a T-day game, but the offense had absolutly no clue what so ever. Our D is going to be pretty good but I don't care if they have seen the offense for 15 days or 30 days that was damn pitiful. I've had a week to put this into perspective and I think we will struggle imo. I'm not trying to piss on everybodys parade but this will take time and we WILL get there eventually, but I think the people who are expecting 8-9+ win's are gonna be very dissapointed... I hope I'm wrong of corse.

I'm prayin' for at least 7 - 5 with a win againt UGA. This assumes that the offense jells up...
didn't really look that good during the T-Day game.

I know our offense looked a hot mess in spring practice, but the offense should look alot better once Nesbitt gets more practice... Our schedule isn't as bad as people think it is...

vs. J'Ville State- this is a good tune-up game for our offense against JSU as we can work on some things to get ready for BC... JSU isn't even a powerhouse in their division... WIN 52-7

@ BC- they should have a decent defense but their offense, i think, will be worser than ours. I think our defense will be better than theirs but i dont know about the special teams. We can beat BC... WIN 28-17

@ VT- they will still be good, but they lost like 9 starters on D, top 4 receivers, starting rb, and some olineman... i think it will be a close game... but i dont think we win in Blacksburg this time... LOSS 28-24

vs. Miss. St.- they are a team on the rise... but their offense is terrible outside of their rb Anthony Dixon... their defense was decent last year but their D coordinator is gone... i think our defense wins this one but the offense starts to clicking... WIN 31-19

vs. Duke- Duke should be improved... but they still are duke... WIN 42-14

vs. Gardner-Webb- i didnt even know they had a football team until GT scheduled them... they are probably worser than JSU... WIN 56-3

@ Clemson- they should be good if CTB don't screw things up like he does every year... this is usually a close game and i see no difference this year... but Death Valley will be rocking... LOSS 31-28

vs. UVA- coming off a tough heartbreak loss to the tigers... the jackets bounce back with a strong vistory over the wahoos... i think UVA will stink... WIN 35-7

vs. Florida State- we haven't played them since reggie ball was a freshman... we shoulda beat them that year and the past 5 years before that too... we always play FSU tough and that was when FSU was a consistent top 10 team... they have fallen off the map the past few years... we finally get over the hump... WIN 33-17

@ UNC- they will be improved but i dont know how much... we have problems winning in chapel hill... but i think we will have a solid outting against the baby blue heels... WIN 31-13

vs. Miami- this is the team i want to beat most in the ACC... they talk so much trash about GT but we have won against them 3 years in a row... i love thursday night and this will be senior night for Gardner MJ JWD Richards and Walker... WIN 38-17

@ UGA- i dont think they'll be as good as everyone is acting like... their schedule is rediculously hard and i think they'll be beat up by the time they play us... painful for me to say... LOSS 30-24

9-3, 6-2 ACC with a trip to the Chick-fil-A peach bowl (i know the peach part no longer exists but i cant help but to put it in their)

7-5. I'm not the least bit concerned about how we looked at T-Day. If you were expecting anything out of a brand new offense who the number one quarterback only had seven or so days to practice you need your head examined.

We play against an ACC schedule and we play 2 patsies OOC.

Even though I want us to beat Georgia - I'd be happy with prognostication...

Have you guys seen been watching the same GT team I've been watching for the past 5 -6 years? Since when have we won guys with offense? Any of you guys seen the other acc offenses in other spring game?

Trust me guys 7-5 at worst. We still play in the ACC in case you guys forgot. There is no such thing as offense in this conference.

I've been watching this same ACC conference and I keep seeing the NFL drafting the ACC ahead of all other conferences the last few years. I'm not sure about the college level, but the NFL seems to think the ACC is better than the rest of the country.
But they may be wrong.
