Pretty sure when Swofford was the Dude and CPJ was. here, the ACC would routinely give every team in NC a bye before their game against us.

But the new boss at the ACC is a B1G guy so I think the Tobacco Road Mafia has pretty much been reduced to a bunch of jerks at the Early Bird buffet at Country Buffet.

I can agree. But in that case we have the wrong guys. Some people care when they get owned and allow it to continue or some get better not to have it happen again.

What I saw and have seen, they aren’t world beaters but are competent. It’s more when a guy beats them, they don’t know what to do. They don’t even have to be great for this scheme. They just have to continue to work. If you miss your target, knock the guy out tackling your QB/RB. Mean is what not many ol have. But playing throughout is there. They aren’t being coached that way imo.

This is probably politically incorrect, but basically “Key talk like Tarzan, team play like Jane”.
 
Maybe our OL bought into the hype they were the strength of our offense and haven't put in the hard work of focusing on beating their man and giving max effort on every play. They have to get motivated to get nasty. Also, I don't believe Jamal is playing up to his potential either. Bad combo for a team that prides itself on its running game.

In my short sided opinion, you can’t play OL unless you carry a mean a** nasty streak within you. You HAVE to have a desire to kick the piss out of the individual in front of you. If you don’t have that, you’re not an offensive lineman. Just my opinion.

Completely agree...plus carrying plus 300lbs isn't a deficiency.
 
It's upsetting to see the decline in OL play over the course of this season. Yes, I know we won't ever have a bunch of 5 and 4 stars blocking for us, but the OL set a nice standard in those first two games and have just fallen apart since then. Hopefully the can get their mojo back ....
