Where were you on this date in 2009?

I was at a bar with some Clemson fans. I'm really glad I moved out of SC.

Both of these teams went 6-7 the next year and then went in vastly different directions.
Yeah, I think losing Nesbitt to injury in 2010 hurt the trajectory of the team but the loss of Monken was immediate in the locker room morale department.

and this is your second post in this thread downplaying this moment for no reason.

I didn't want to create a new thread to pose this question, but where were you on this date in 2011? I was in NYC, having gone up there after the Navy game in Annapolis on Saturday. I and the friend who was with me were actually in the WTC plaza the night before 9/11 before flying back to Baltimore where we were staying with his parents for the weekend

I was there. Remember thinking to myself I hoped we didn't see them later in the year. Turned out ok though.
More than 52000 in attendance . . . every home game that year except Jacksonville State had more than 50000.

I missed that game, but was at the rematch in Tampa about three months later. That was great, too. Fun times! I miss 'em.

2001, you mean? I went to NYC for that Syracuse game (and went up in the WTC) at the end of August, then flew up to the Navy game, and was getting psyched to finally beat FSU. That season really fell apart at the end - the makeup game at FSU felt particularly sad and pointless, and then I couldn’t get anybody to go to Seattle with me so I missed a decent bowl win.

I think 9/10 was a Monday and I was at work on campus.
