Whisenhunt

You would think, but for some reason it always looked like Johnson’s Navy teams ran the option better than Tech ever did. Tech had individual athletes who were better, but Navy always looked smoother and faster.

I had thought, prior to this, that CPJ leaving would let the healing process for Tech fans begin. I was wrong.

CPJ was above average with noodle-arm RBs playing QB. Whisenhunt was awful and got fired (twice). That's not the same thing.

But yeah, having a good QB is generally a pretty solid predictor for success.

I don't know of a single NFL OC right now that is making lemonade with a QB lemon.

based on the fact that if you asked any random high schooler in the area who Ken Whisenhunt is they'd probably think he was that guy who was nominated to Supreme Court.

Because all the other good, young coaches are household names? I'm sure kids have pictures of Scott Satterfield, Neal Brown, Geoff Collins, and Jeff Monken on their phones.

The Cowboys are 7-5, and Dak Prescott is certainly not an elite QB. The Vikings were great last year with Chase Keenum at QB. The Bears are 8-3 and making Trubisky look like a better player than he is. And lastly, Jared Goff was HORRIFIC as a rookie, as in no redeemable qualities whatsoever. Enter Sean McVay and now he's unstoppable.

These coaches have actual legitimate college coaching experience in the area and relationships with local high school coaches...it's not a hard concept to understand. I either want legitimate collegiate coaching experience relatively recently, or some reason you're famous to current high schoolers. All of the coaches you listed have been on recruiting staffs or coaches at colleges in the Southeast very recently. You can't be this dumb. Unless you're an actual wombat.

Most of the examples you listed are teams that have/had great defenses. Look at what the Cowboys did last year with a lesser defense.

Goff is a solid example, but even still, he was the #1 overall pick for a reason. Trubisky was the #2 overall pick. These guys aren't exactly 5th round picks like John Skelton.

Whisenhunt did pretty well with a young QB in Roethlisberger.

I remember seeing Dak Prescott play in college that one time

That was Bart O'Kavanaugh.
