White Out vs. NCState

I don't see it happening any time soon. What's weird though is that I was under the impression back when we debuted those against Virginia that we were going to have a single game every year where we wore some type of throwback uniform. Never worked out, I guess.
I wish to God it would happen.

There was one game, it was USC vs UCLA. I believe one of the teams had to give up a timeout to do it? So maybe that's the only ramifications? White vs White would be dumb though. The P10 game was at least Red vs Blue.

But they'd be helping contribute to our white out, right? Not so much for the "white v. white would be cool" factor, but just for the "this is our home field, how dare you come in and try to tell us what we can and can't wear" sentiment.

F*** NC State. This is a ploy by O'Brien to fire up his team when he knows that his sorry a** is probably gonna get canned b/c he can't beat a pinata without a blindfold.

I would run up the score on their sorry, pathetic, "we're the best football team in NC only by default b/c I-40 has more points than all the rest of the schools offense combined."

This is bull****.

You can't do white vs. white. You can do color vs. color if both teams agree to it. It looks incredible.

:laugher: Wake's mistake where they almost upset a top 10 team? Do you think being pissed about our uniform color is what's going to put our team over the top?

Well, apprarently it upset the team enough that they've requested a white-out game when we play NC State. You need to ask the players, not me.

Almost doesn't count.

everytime i glance at this thread i see

White Castle

Refusing to let the players wear white is definitely a ploy to get our team out of their rhythm and routine. If it bothers our players, the best way to keep other teams from trying this, is to make the visitors suffer agonizing humiliation over it. A white out will definitely get the message across and fire up the team. If we run up the score a little and get some chuckles on Sports Center, I don't think any team will ever try it again.

Only if we publicize it. Which we won't. Not the I, anyway. The fans could possibly do it but I don't know that we're capable of that.

I don't mean the whiteout, I mean the idea of giving a warning to teams for not letting us wear white in the future.

Haha, that's awesome.

NC State's slaughter will be a warning to the rest of the ACC. Love it.

May NC State's white uniforms be covered with the red blood of their beating.

And green grass stains :D

I hope we have a defense show up similar to the McBrien/Slaton Maryland game of 2003 (I think) when I believe Landry's hitting took both Slaton and McBrien out of the game.

If it's 28-0 at halftime, NCS might ask if they can switch to the red jerseys.

I look at it this way....NCS just wants in on the action...let's just say this is another way to "KEEP THE RED OUT" at BDS! Last year was awesome and it did take lots of work. My company did it's share in sponsorship (shirts and shakers) and others did as well. It may look simple, but it is difficult and very time consuming. But I am ALL for it again. We just need to spread the word everywhere, get the GTAA to do it's share, RamblinWreck.com, advertising, etc. I just think that if Penn State can do this with 100K fans we can as well!
GO JACKETS!
