we are all Tech fans but is there an sec school that you guys root for, and I know anyone playing Georgia, but is there one that you root for on a week basis?? who and why??
 
I'm an Ole Miss SEC fan. Maybe UT a little. But Alabama's prolly gonna kick ass this yeah.

Used to root for USCe, but no so much anymore. Fans are just obnoxiously cocky about the SEC for no reason. Probably UT or Miss State if I had to pick.
 
Am I wrong to think UT has a pretty clean reputation, and less obnoxious fan base yet very rich football history?? Seems like most Tech fans like UT, I guess b/c of Dodd...

Yes, you are very wrong. UT fans are, for the most part, terrible. Wait until they start winning again (post Kiffin era - should start in about 1 year) and you'll see what I mean.

As far as who I root for, it used to be LSU, now I'd have to go with USCe or Mississippi. All in all though, I could really care less.
 
I root for Vandy or Miss State. I like to see underdogs win.
 
Anyone playing florida, unless said team is georgie, then I root for an asteroid to strike.
 
wow! on the UT fanbase comment- had no idea!

here's my deal, I love Tech period-

I would like to root for an sec team that is not the stereotypical obnoxious, thinking they invented college football fanbase...I kinda liked USCe for a while but found them to be pretty much a UGA wanna be program...as a kid I did like LSU but they are winnig a little too much these days and I am sick of getting our butts kicked by them...plus I am bored as hell tonight and thought I'd think out loud for a while-
 
There were a few sec teams that I used to like but I eventually got over it.

I know UT's got as many bad, redneck fans as UGAG, and they do get drunker than UGAG's, if that's possible. They also get mad when they lose. However, every UT fan I know is a class act, so it's hard not to like 'em. I have many cousins who went there.

Used to like USCe a lot until they joined the SEC. Then suddenly they just became unbearably superior, boasting about being in the SEC when they'd never, ever won a game in the month of December, period. Been the same ever since.
 
I like Auburn and Vandy. Dad got a master's from AU and I almost went there. Though I don't like either of them near as much as I like GT. Go Jackets!

I root for a few of them for one week every year.
