Considering you are convincing a girl, tell her
-- we have a more recent championship (both conference and national)
-- uga players are thugs
-- uga has a lot of fans that would trash the campus, piss on other fans or fight them
-- uga has a lot of fans that would trash their own players, leave the games early, etc.

(don't start with "all uga fans ... " because she obviously knows a few uga fans that she likes)

First team to win all of the four original bowl games (Cotton, Sugar, Rose, Orange)

I think only five teams have done the bowl thing, and unfortunately UGA is one of them.
 
To put down the whole her best friend thing it is a girl lol not a guy. She follows college football and isn't the normal pushover you see. I forgot about all of the trophies named after our coaches. Thanks everyone!

Your best bet is to go for your girlfriend and not worry about her best friend.

Take the girlfriend to a game.

Point out that because Georgia Tech is in Atlanta, it's a nice convenient drive around the city you live in.

Point out that the roads in and out of Athens on gameday get clogged, and that you'd spend a long time stuck in traffic on gameday.

Point out that it's much easier to get in and out of parking at a GT game.

Point out that your seats are better because you don't have to get behind a long line of donors.

Point out, on the way home, that if you were coming back from Athens you'd be stuck in 2 hours of traffic easy.

You should win her over with the experience of going to a game. After a few of them invite her best friend along if she promises to be nice.
 
At one time there was an AJC article on 100 reasons UGA is better Than Tech. If someone could give me the link to that article, I have a really good rebuttal I could write up. I couldn't find it using google.

that list is huge joke too. How many times can you say the fall in athens is awesome? best stadium....haha. (That goes to Michigan IMO)

You cannot convince a ugay fan that GT is better. They have different priorities.

However, I have found that the best way to piss them off in an argument like this is to use their priorities against them and make them feel even dumber than they already are:

Example:

Classic Ugay argument: We have a better football team and hotter girls.
My usual rebuttle: You're right. Your football team has won 2 National championships. (Pause to let it sink in).... Since being a fan of a good football team is important to you, dont you wish Ugay had 4 national championships like GT does?

Regarding those hot chicks, ugay definately has us beat there. In fact, if you had a Million dollars you could probably bang every hot chick on campus. (They usually say "hell yeah I could"). Well, over 10% of GT grads become a millionaire. Less than 1% for ugay. So in 10 years those hot ugay chicks will be dropping panties to have a GT grad while most ugay grads are still struggling to find a job. Think about it...

They usually don't have a response because I have busted them on the only 2 arguments they usually have other than......"oh well, we've kicked your ass in football for the last 20 years" which is the only argument that I really cant defend other than we beat them in their Preseason national champs year.
