Why is no one calling out CPJ?

Nobody's calling out PJ because PJ didn't have a choice about calling the timeout. He clearly didn't want to take the timeout, but he had to because of the situation. Likewise, he had to go for it on 4th, and if he'd made it, or god forbid we'd completed that deep pass, we'd be at 3-0 and favored to win the coastal.

Now, we need VT to lose two ACC games and we need to win out. It's conceivable.

I'm NOT BLAMING THE LOSS on the clock management (read the thread). There were many contributing factors (that had all been brought up). Not having the TO on the final possession was ONE of the factors.

Yeah, but you act like he called the timeout just for shits and giggles when he clearly had to. New clock rules + Roddy Jones running 50 yards back to the LOS = no time for next play.
 
So if the stars line up and we have some sort of round robin, 1 loss deal going with Miami and VT, then the BCS standings will pick who goes to the ACCCG.

So it would go to polls.

Clearly we need VT to lose 2 ACC games, then, because polls will always put them ahead of us. A 3 way tiebreaker vs VT does us no good.


There may have been many very small things that led to that loss, but clock management is way down on the list when you've got a -3 turnover differential.
 
is Paul Johnson the guy that jumped offsides on 4th and 2???

he needs to be benched!!! call him out, now!

idiot fans need to be called out, then publically flogged in the square on the North Avenue side of the Admin building!
 
At the end of the day, Paul Johnson called a pass play that got Jones wide open down the field and the players on the field did not execute. All you can ask for from a coach is to have him give the players a chance to win and he did even after the players consistently shot themselves in the foot again and again and again...

3 fumbles and two personal fouls on the final drive aside and PJ still had us in a position to win...

what more do you guys want!?! quit acting like whiney baby idiots and recognize that we got beat because our players did not execute...

Constructive.

I questioned one aspect of the game (because all other aspects had already been covered) and I get a few reasonable responses arguing my point (see CrackerJacket and Yukon, although Yukon's borders on excuse making) but most just want to name call. GTMensLax&SoccerD1Soon had a fair response until he got caught up in the name calling.

The name calling doesn't bother me, I'd be much more impressed if you could at least be clever about it.
