Why not Spurrier?

Nice....Hear me on this...

I have said this before and I'm saying it again. Whether he stays at SC or moves on to someplace else, I, along with MANY other UGA fans would LOVE to keep Spurrier on our schedule.

It will provide us much future enjoyment watching him slam his visor to the ground while UGA is going ahead by 15 - 20 points against his team in the 4th quarter.

His time at UF was great for him and sucked for us, but that was great timing combined with innovative coaching. Look at what he had at UF and what we had at UGA. Now look at what UGA has NOW.

Spurrier will NEVER enjoy the same level of success that he had at UF in the 90s, against UGA or anyone else for the matter. He could go back to UF and never have the same success. He'd probably do better than he's doing now at SC, but nowhere near like the 90s. The rest of the SEC (and college FB in general) is much more competitive now.

I'm looking forward to our next game against his team.

Ummmm, yeah. How'd that work for you this year, Sparky?

Seriously? I think you should do a double take at your W-L from this year.

I am not quite sure I understand what point you are making.

If you are looking at our 16-12 loss to SC this year then you are short-sighted.

We went 10-2 this season with a starting lineup FULL of freshmen and sophomores. I picked us to go 8-4.

"Seriously? I think you should do a double take at your W-L from this year."

Again, another short-sighted view. Hold on...let me take another look at our W-L........OK, I see us at 10-2 with a starting lineup of freshmen and sophomores. So why should I NOT be excited about our chances against Spurrier / SC as well as the rest of the SEC in the future?

Well...I think he is trying to say that no matter how good your teams do, Spurrier always seems to beat you, even in years when you are beating up on the rest of the SEC. But again, I could be wrong...

"I think he's trying to point out that Spurrier beat you again this year. I could be wrong though."

Question: If you sat down w/ Spurrier and asked him if he'd rather be 6-6 and beat UGA or 10-2 and lose to UGA, but still have a chance at a BCS bowl, which one do you think he'd pick?

Also, I have no concerns about Spurrier and SC. They beat us by 4 points and we have a starting lineup full of freshmen and sophomores. I FULLY expect UGA to beat Spurrier and SC in Columbia next season.

Okay, that's good.
