will our O line still be a weakness?

Last year our OL had some great games and then some horrific ones. I'm sure the OL understands the blocking scheme more this year. We also have improved depth. Austin Barrick has bulked up to 285. Seems we have a couple of battles as well.
- Brad Sellers vs Nick Claytor (Nick can't stay healthy)
- Dan Voss vs Sean Bedford

How are Phil Smith, Nick Mcrae and Omoregie Uzzi looking?

If we want our passing yardage to increase the pass blovking HAS to improve. It was atrocious last year.

I don't think its to the point that its a strong point for the team, but I don't see it as being nearly as much of a weakness as it was early last year.

To some extent, yes. I think they'll perform better, but we still got some guys who last year after the ball was snapped they were completely 180 degrees facing the wrong way.

I think our O-line will be the most improved. You can just tell they're getting it.

If what I saw in the last scrimmage open to the public has any bearing whatsoever we might go and blow the doors off a few teams, no kidding.

I really feel like we are going to see some surprises starting on the OL in the Jax State game.

I sure hope that turns out to be true, Mover!

The mover is a former Tech player and football legend here at GT. The name John Davis ring a bell?

Pardon my ignorance, I am relatively new to the board, is refrigeratormover a credible source? We "hear" a lot, but some people seem to have the real scoop (e.g. demjackets).

Completely understand where you are coming from.

I love GT just like the rest of us do.

Demjackets is the man and knows a helluva lot more than me when it comes too football on the flats.

Trust his words more than mine.

Mover's not a real good source of info, but he's so big that if you don't listen to him he'll beat you up. So we all listen.

If our O-line and A-Backs block well, our offense is going to run wild. The blocking assignments of our O-lineman and A-backs is the difference between 0 yards and 20 yards or more. I don't know if any of you have gotten a chance to read about our blocking schemes, but this guy does a great analysis of our good blocking and bad blocking in the UGA game:

It's a testament to how important the blocking of our O-lineman and A-Backs are to our success.

Speaking of Demjackets, I don't recall a post from him for a while. Does he just check in during the season or did he get chased off by the endless worship?
