i don't buy the "got lost in the heat of the moment" argument. You could pretty much use that for any foul committed on the field.

There is a ööööing rule against it. It is simple as that. And I'm not even complaining about Winston doing it, he does what he does, but Jimbo's defense of a blatant rule breaking is atrocious.

I don't know that a comparison can be drawn between what the ref allowed Winston to do and a no-call/bad call.

Clearly the ref didn't miss what happened. In his opinion, it didn't warrant any sort of penalty. If a ref misses a PI or something, you can't really say with certainty that he saw it and did nothing.

If you have ever watched Winston on the sideline, he is in a world of his own. He never listens to Fisher, ever. Whenever Fisher talks to him, Winston is always looking somewhere else, trying to walk off, just totally uninterested. When he came out dressed for the game he was suspended for, it was obvious he doesn't give a öööö what the coaches do or say to him. Jimbo is in a position of just trying to keep a job and has hitched his wagon to Winston.

He would have already been booted from most programs. FSU just has this criminal mentality that lets it fester.

Tech had a kid booted from the team due to rape allegations. Charges were dropped and he came back to the team the next season - missed out on a year.

I think Winston would have to go to the sideline after a touchdown and sexual assault a cheerleader on national TV before he would be suspended.
