Getting away from game analysis here...

Last night, ESPN clarified something for a lot of us, and I wanted to post this so the folks at the game were filled in on a handy piece of information.

When previewing the game, one of the analysts (maybe Jesse Palmer, who knows ...) said that CJ Spiller and Jacoby Ford have World Class Speed. They went on to say that they are the fastest duo in all of college football!

This leads me to infer that World Class Speed is much greater than SEC speed. I was shocked, but there was no mention of SEC speed in the game last night. Only World Class Speed.

World Class Speed > SEC Speed > Everything else

LOL... :laugher:

ESPN are a bunch of clowns. I was surprised they did not mention anything about "SEC Speed".

BTW, anyone at the game last night and see the student sign on the jumbotron showing ACC speed? I laughed at that one.

Also, whichever student had the whiteboard and was posting on it-- they were very funny.

That whiteboard was a fantastic idea

I noticed that too. They never referenced SEC speed once so maybe, WCS (World Class Speed) is equal to SECS expect when WCS is playing SECS, then nobody is equal to SECS?

+1 to the whiteboard idea. That was brilliant!

MEwreck...when World Class Speed and SEC speed are on the same football field, the earth momentarily stops spinning.

Yes, that sign as well as the whiteboard were very entertaining.

I saw the whiteboard but I didn't see the student sign on the jumbotron showing ACC speed. What was that sign?

Was just after AA (or JT) -- but was one of our 2 big TD's-- ran his touchdown, and all the sign said was ACC speed. I just thought it was funny.

It wasn't after JT because after JT it said:

"Should have tried the FG instead"

Which made me :laugher:.

I hope that is true; because in most cases I felt like our defense could run with them. I know they both had some big plays; but Spiller's reception was due to a mismatch, and Ford simply made some plays. It did not look like they could simply ran past our secondary at will.

Jacoby Ford NCAA 60 meter champions is a world class sprinter. CJ Spiller has been times at similar speeds. I would challenge any SEC team to find two people with Mike Vick speed on their teams.

WC Speed > SEC Speed? I'm gonna have to see the math on that. I mean, all those SEC fans, ESPN, and the AUC can't be wrong.
