Worst GT team since....

yep, shades of '91 with good returning Jr QB and high expectations and then mediocre results

Anybody going back any further than 2001 is really dumb. But that's still a hell of a stretch. There's no need to go further than 2010, but 2012 is more accurate. And that's a "thus far" statement anyway, we don't have any clue how we'll respond down the stretch. There's always a lot of "If you think we can _______ against ________ then you're an idiot" after every loss.

I'm tired of the comparisons to last year because I just don't think we're that sort of team, but having already beaten VPI and Miami before losing to Duke and UNC didn't stop everybody from saying the same things last year, then we ran the table.

LOL, this team would beat every Gailey team but 2006, and maybe half of PJ's previous teams. We're not bad, we're just not that great, either.

Disagree. This team right now is bad. They don't respond when they get punched in the mouth. They keep playing, but don't play to win. Getting two garbage td's against ND showed the won't quit. But they don't lay everything out to stay in a position to win. They play to not get embarrassed.

If you are suggesting that we are going to or even come close to running the table, you are out of your mind. Not an idiot, just out of your mind.

We are bad, and we are soft. We play confused, and unlike last year's team the players are trying to do too much individually because apparently they don't have faith that their teammate will make a play. On every pinch play, JT looks tentative to let the ball go. When he keeps, he is always jitterbugging instead of taking the lane. He knows öööö well the block he needs is not going to be made.

Did you seriously read my post and come away from it thinking that's what I was suggesting?

Have you watched Georgia Tech football before? Lose on the road to a top 10 team by 8 and them lose two extremely close conference games to decent teams, and we're really bad?

I don't know about you, but I'd prefer that to 51-7 or inevitable obliteration by the elite teams we face. Ask Clemson who they'd rather face this week - 2015 GT or 2002-2007 GT - I'm pretty confident what the answer would be. Sure, we lost to a Duke team that will probably win 9 games. Gailey, who I actually thought was a decent cosch, lost by 3 TDs to a horrible cellar dwelling Duke.

This team fights hard despite really huge momentum swings against them. Maybe our problem was that we set our expectations WAY too high, despite our own coach trying to tell us we had issues. Losing 195753 players to injury surely didn't help. I still think we are a bowl team, we just have to stop shooting ourselves in the foot. If 6-6 is what we're destined for this season, then so be it. I still believe PJ is the best coach we can get, and I'll be there supporting the team every Saturday.
