Worst head coaching hires of the 21st-century

If the criteria of the list is the school themselves regretting the hiring of the coach Mel Tucker has to be included in the list.

We had a pretty strong Art Briles contingent around here
I thought about adding him but seems most of the love for Briles was coming from one guy who shall remain unnamed but if you watch closely, it will come to you in due time.

And I'll just mention this and back away slowly but there are several names on that list that quite a few Tech fans would have cut their left nutt off to have come here.

Randy Edsall
Will Muschamp
Hugh Freeze
Charlie Strong
And a few maybes.
Will muschamp. Your kidding right?

The list seems to conflate bad coaching with bad people, or coaches who made a personal mistake, like Art Briles, Hugh Freeze, Bobby Petrino etc

O’Leary to ND didn’t make the list. Or did that not count as a hire?

Clown is such a clown he didn’t even get a mention

That cant be right.

Clearly this list is subjective. Who compiled it!?

Never lost a game at ND.

While that list is strictly FBS, I submit that Brian VanGorder to Georgia Southern for that one year is among the worst coaching hires of all time. You could go Tyson Summers to Southern too, as they were FBS when he got hired. And he was bad. Dude didn't even last two full years.
(Dammit, if Southern could pull a plug that quickly, why couldn't ... oh, who am I kidding. TS wasn't going to let that happen).
