Worst head coaching hires of the 21st-century

Ron Prince at K State was hilariously bad. Also Muschamp made the list for his hire at Florida and South Carolina... ouch

Art Briles made Baylor relevant. The Dallas Star proved his innocence and Baylor had to pay him damages over the issue. It would have happened to any coach.

I thought about adding him but seems most of the love for Briles was coming from one guy who shall remain unnamed but if you watch closely, it will come to you in due time.

And I'll just mention this and back away slowly but there are several names on that list that quite a few Tech fans would have cut their left nutt off to have come here.

Randy Edsall
Will Muschamp
Hugh Freeze
Charlie Strong
And a few maybes.
I never saw the appeal in Edsall or Muschimp. I understood Freeze and Strong.

Hard to believe the two worst hires in the history of GT football didn't make this list!!!

Wasn't Edsall an assistant at Tech at one time?
Yes. He was the defensive backs coach for the NFL Jags - best secondary in the NFL when he was there. Then he came here and as noted by @GEETEELEE, did the same thing for our defense. But he was a bit of a dick - I think he interviewed for the HC job here but didn't make the short list.

Taggart / Smith / Pruitt are in a “hell-in-the-cage” style wrestling match. They’re trading blows equally until Collins drops in from the rafters and pile drives all of them then suplexes the ref. CGC is the last man standing.
