As much as I prefer Music City to Emerald, I agree as well. No sense in draining the athletic budget to 'top' Virginia's lobbying package. I'd rather spend that kind of money on facilities and recruiting.

I think its the highest form of disrespect to the players to think that they would prefer a field trip versus playing in a big game. They are competitors, and they wouldn't be here if they weren't.
To a man, each player's highest reward would be to play in the biggest game they could.

Don't get me wrong on this. I am not saying that nashville would have provided that much more of a big game. I only tried to make the comment that most if not all of the players want the highest ranking bowl game, regardless of the destination.
