New Helmet!

I'm interested to see the black on black one. If you can see the logo it'll be pretty cool, you know, for Duke.
 
Rutgers one is awesome. ND one is awful. VT camo...there are no words. Please, God, don't let the GTAA try that to connect with our more rural fans.
 
I'm in love with the new WVU helmets. Those are beautiful.

I've come around to the new helmet. I think it will look cool if the uniforms don't look stupid. The design is understated and not tacky. It's good Synjyn posted it to give us time to adjust.

Waiting to see if we will be capable of that kind of bull rush this year. ST switched hosts in the offseason. I would imagine partially to mitigate some of that.
 
That helmet will look stupid with our regulars....don't do half assed

I hope they don't wear the new helmet with old duds. That would look stupid. I wonder how many different helmet and uni combos they will have. If they have multiple combos its sounds like we could see this new helmet more than once.

Also, this is a pic from the basketball stadium. I'm guessing the honeycomb design is the new thing for GT athletics?

Gosh get that off the board quick or i will be in the ER in fifteen minutes !!!!!!!! How somebody could destroy tradition and a once sterling uni is beyond me but its clear they did.Oh well going to the Southern game this weekend to see decent unis and aggressive football.
 
For my 1,000th post, what other than a uniform mockup? Here's what the helmet will probably look like:

My initial reaction was that it was hokey (pun intended) and kind of lame, but seeing it with the GT logo, it's kind of cool for occasional use.

Also, it looks like this company may have been responsible, and though you can't tell in Synjyn's picture, the lines may be gold.

Yeah Ikept thinking for five years we would have something traditional and.........got nothing from Russell .No idea what we will wear and doubt I will EVER like it but sure want the win next week.
 
It seems weird to me that people love the throwback white helmets we've worn recently but hate these. I like them, but they do seem pretty similar to the white throwbacks with the obvious differences the simple honeycomb pattern and the stripe on top.

Reminds me a little bit of the Gators nike combat uniforms, which looked standard from afar but pretty cool close up with the gator skin pattern.
