Coffee is for Closers Paul!

And you couldn't negatively recruit Ole Miss? The punching bag of the SEC west? A place where they celebrate Ole Glory and the Rebel Flag? A place in the sticks?

You want to sell recruits? Bring Andre 5000 back to a game, or even Big Boi. öööö ain't hard people. You wanna know how we landed the 2007 class? Gailey finally figured the öööö out. He pimped out the night games in 2006 and created that connection between GT and The ATL. Problem was it was too late.

It's about to be too late for Paul. I could sell thus öööö. We do not have anybody who can sell.

come to georgia tech, punching bag of uga, miami, virginia tech and probably most of the sec. a place where the student population is nothing like you and half could care less who you are.

these kids are treated like gods at sec schools. trust me, as a current student ive been to oxford, auburn , and athens plenty of times and whenever football players roll into bars you would think brad and angelina just showed up. im sure having big boi really brought in recruits...cause the players really enjoyed that... in the locker room. gailey was good because he ran a pro style offense and georgia recruiting was heating up. the acc also had a better reputation with vt,wake, miami,bc.

tech will never recruit on the same level as the big schools, even if we switch back to a pro style. academics and campus social life severely hurt us. just something we have to live with.

NO.
WE.
DON'T.

Will it be easy? No. Is it impossible? No.

Spoken like someone who accepts defeat before they even try. Maybe if you put a little effort into your career instead of your 15 post a day post count, you might actually be worth a öööö hiring as a recruiter for GT. I'll use your sorry as öööö ass as the type of people building crutches for this öööö effort coaching staff. The rest of us can recognize crap effort when we see it.

Paul could be great. But he keeps way too much dead weight on this staff and it shows in recruiting every year.

Aren't you accepting defeat before you see our recruits try? I'm optimistic about 2013.

have fun siting on the edge of your seat for the next 20 years, waiting for us to crack the top 5. im not saying we wont be good, we can definitely be a top 10 team with A LOT of work, but i dont see us being a national championship caliber team any time soon. times have changed.

It's about to be too late for Paul. I could sell this öööö. We do not have anybody who can sell. And we have a coach who thinks noon games help the program. ööööing morons!

Didn't we play more night games this past year? I don't remember getting sunburned once. Some of the games TV makes us play early, I thought we played the rest late.

If we could recruit to a top 50 level, with some 4 star talent on the defensive side, and our D could be a top 35 D, I do believe we could be a top 10 team, but those are a lot of IF's.........

Right now, I don't know how PJ turns the recruiting ship around quickly enough not to see the door, but I will be pulling for my alma mater either way.

We don't just have to accept the status quo.

A more creative approach to marketing the program can pay huge dividends for us.

2. We only had about 16-17 scholarships available. Are you advocating that we should have signed 25 this year? And if so, please list the 8+ players on our current roster we should have pulled scholarships from in February.

How many Preferred Walkons have scholarships now? All 7 of our horrible kickers?

This. I so want Paul to succeed and think he Could do huge things. But if he doesn't fix his talent issues which are obvious, he's gonna be shown the door. I think we have run out of time. Paul couldn't afford having a year like this, and he did.

It's all about the atmosphere that a head coach projects onto his program. I just don't see PJ as projecting something that kids want to be a part of. PJ has upgraded the facilities which is great, but he has to get a personality if he wants to sell his program.

If only we got guys with tons of stars like Foster! Reuben Foster has already had his Auburn tattoo altered to honor his cousin, who was one of the Auburn players shot and killed in that tragic incident last year. A tattoo artist in Auburn tweeted this picture and Foster retweeted it:

Anybody notice something?

Besides the fact he has his shirt off for a forearm tat, I would say that either Auburn, the Tattoo "artist", or his best friend don't know how to spell dead dude's name

1. We have 14, potentially as many as 16.

A problem CPJ has is not preparing for attrition and recruits decommitting.

I don't know the actual numbers, but it seems each year we have a player or two decide to graduate early or leave the team and a couple of recruits decommit.

We should know that we have to over-recruit every year by some amount. If the unlikely happens and not 1 single scholarship player leaves the team and not 1 single recruit decommits, then you deal with the fallout at that time.

It seems like we think we operate in a vacuum and if we have 15 ships, then all we need are 15 commits. It seems like attrition and decommits are not factored in as every year variables.
