Coffee is for Closers Paul!

CPJ is going to show you bitches some old school football next year and knock some dicks in the dirt. Long live CPJ!

Go Jackets!
God I hope this is so true. I am sooooo tired of all the ööööing.
I know......... the the ööööing will never go away!

All I know is the öööö isn't this hard. We got a bunch of great football minds and very little salesmanship. It shows up every time PJ opens his mouth. He sounds either irritated, angry, or condescending. That öööö doesn't sell to 17-18 year old kids.

If Paul wants to win big he's got to change his ways and he's got to mix his coaching staff with guys who can sell GT. Like I said before, he took a step in the right direction with Roof and Pelton, but it may be too late. Time will tell.

You haven't listen to Saban talk lately have you. What about Les Miles?? The wonderful USC coach... What about the guy at ND? All great recruiting classes who have somewhat strict grump coaches.

I DO NOT want a nice guy coach at Tech. We do not win at all with them. I have enough of Lewis and Gomer to last a lifetime. We have the right guy.

Like I said before he is doing the right things in the eyes of the hill at Tech. He is going no where for those that think he will be fired quickly.

If you want to look at what will happen to Tech football if Paul leaves all you have to do is look back at what happened after we decided to get rid of Pepper. I was there some great times at Bobby Dodd like watching CVD run up the score on us with Herschel.

We need to have patience here. Paul is doing the right thing redshirting guys every year. It will work.

We have depth. We needed some superstars and the truth is this class has 4 potential guys. If they signed with UGA two would be 5 stars and the other 2 high 4 stars.

It is the top 7 that is preventing us from getting over the hump your game changers.

Our top 7 will be better this year than last year. We will be better.

I'll give you them being 4-stars, but 5?

:rotfl:

Our offensive lineman was rated 3 in the country until we signed him and he magically dropped to 37. He is a legitimate 5 star player. The same for Custis. He is the number 1 back in GA maybe the SE.

The two defensive guys are legitimate 4 star athletes if they sign with an SEC school. They are 3 stars with us.

All you have to do is look at Douglas' movement after he signed with UGA to understand how the game is played. Moved from 2 to 3 star. My guess is he grey shirts for them. Hope he enjoys that by the way.

We also had some reaches but I was more concerned with the top 10 in this particular class.

Next year is a key depth building year. We need to sign close to a full class.

We have good recruiters. IMHO geography is the issue. We limited ourselves because everyone said CCG recruited too much out of state.... and Paul thought he could compete based on his previous experience at GSU. He referenced expanding the geographical base during the signing show.

Out of state is the key to our success. I would like to see our classes move to 50% GA 50% out of state. CGOL had this down to a science and so did Ross. Their models were good for Tech and are still valid in many ways.

Need links, that's the first I've heard of that, as good as they are.

I don't disagree that they would be rated higher at Bama or uga, but 5-star is a stretch.

I saw Kamara dominate the playoff game against Custis, Custis didn't look like the best back on the field.

Custis and Devine are 4-stars on scout FWIW.

No we don't. We didn't even have a full time AD when Roof was hired.

If the team sucks enough to get Johnson fired, Roof is going out with the bath water as well.

Exactly. If Roof improves the defense, we will win and CPJ will stay. If Roof doesn't improve the defense we'll want to get rid of him along with CPJ.

I stopped reading after your first stupid sentence. Can't argue, so you make one up. Typical.

You complained that Paul wasn't a salesman. I was engaging that opinion and taking it seriously. I mentioned two guys that have a reputation for being great recruiters because of their salesmanship, Lane Kiffin and Dabo Sweeney. Imo, they're not great coaches, and their teams don't live-up to the expectations of their recruiting classes. On the other hand, CPJ's teams out-perform their recruiting ranking.

The fact that you claim to not have read further just shows that you're an extremely immature person who would rather throw tantrums than engage opinions different from your own. You don't have to agree with a different opinion or change your mind, but a mature person will engage the opinion. An immature person will stop reading, name-call or throw a tantrum.

No. I just don't waste my time with you so stop getting your panties wadded. I'm not arguing with anything you've said. Although lately Dabo has done pretty well.

I believe Paul is a great coach, but if he can't fix his talent issues he will get fired.

bitch move. if you can't field counter-points, you should stop flapping your gums.

Holy öööö, pay attention dumbass. Paul Johnson is a great coach. Not the issue. Paul Johnson can't recruit for öööö. That is going to be his downfall if he doesn't fix it.

And his attempt to fix it has been to bring in CTR. He doesn't believe that anything needs to be fixed on the offensive recruiting front. Since CTR just started, maybe we give him a chance to succeed?

all of this from the guy who is going to help the gtaa become better salesmen. :bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl:

in all seriousness, i'm a little confused about your point. the criticism was that the recruiting sucked, not the coaching. if your point is that coaches who are salesmen don't necessarily do well, isn't it an apples to oranges comparison if they aren't considered good coaches as well?

the jokes continue. you should also know, that i only read the first line of your previous post.

What exactly is the joke? I started a Commercial Construction company in the middle of 2009 in the worst building market in a century. I managed to double my business in one year. Doubled it again, and again each year of being in business. I'll do more work in the first half of this year than I did in the previous two. Would you like my resume? Because selling Atlanta and GT to a bunch of 17 year olds would be a ööööing walk in the park compared to my last 3 years.

Why do you guys treat this öööö like its sacred rocket science? It isn't. It's selling a product to a kid. Of which, we apparently suck at.
