Perhaps if we dropped to div 3 like some fans are suggesting, VPI would start losing to us every year.

well we have lots of championships in lots of different sports, because unlike Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University we don't go all in on one sport on the backs of the exploits of dog killers and child rapists.

If you're talking about football in particular then we last won an ACC championship game in 2009.

I do think it's pretty funny that Beamer is so worried about losing to Georgia Tech that he burns his whole off season prepping for us and then blows one game per year vs East Carolina or similar.

Does he really think that beating GT is that important?

Before the divisional alignment, VT used to try to be national contenders. Now they've completely revamped their entire football program around beating Georgia Tech and then screwing up the rest of their season.
