Coaching Carousel

Cutcliffe turned down Michigan. He is a good choice, someone worth asking.

The hires overall this year, except for Nebraska, have been very impressive.

That is a surprise in my book. Wow. I wonder if that explains the championship game...

People seem to not want to coach there.

Wonder if Alvarez is meddling up there? Bielema basically said he couldn't wait to get out of there said one reason was his pay and assistant pay was maxed out which I understand but has to be more than that for Anderson to leave after only 2 years for Oregon State (he has no ties there)

Pretty good look on Wisconsin from CFN that could explain Anderson's exodus. TL;DR version - other than a couple of big wins UW can't get over the hump and has plateaued. May be have been smart to bail before the downturn.

Yup. Everyone knows the sky is the limit in Corvallis.

Especially so when your in state rival mascot is named Puddles the Duck. They couldn't possibly be any good right?

Maybe Andersen just wanted to move back west. He was at Utah for like 15 years prior to Wisconsin. Madison is a nice town but probably better environs over there on the West Coast.

Might have been a Mormon. Madison Wisconsin is a bastion of liberal heathens. probably wanted to get back to some semblance of normalcy. I don't know if Oregon is ground zero for that.

Go Jackets!

Yup. Everyone knows the sky is the limit in Corvallis.

Have to see what Oregon State paid him. May have been better for him to bolt Wisconsin now rather than get Pelini'ed in another year or two.

The other thing to consider is the Pac XII's reputation with the committee is apparently very strong.
