I read that Vandy RB depth chart is even emptier than ours, so he would most likely start there. That might be a reason.

Also, maybe we are full?

Oversigning is being over 85 on signing day without knowing exactly how (ethically) you're getting to 85 before the freshmen enroll. If 2 players have already informed Johnson that they are going to graduate and move on after this semester, then that's not oversigning.

I don't know. I've never understood the thought process with recruits. But, I also don't understand why we don't have running backs practically beating down our door trying to come play for PJ. A stud BB can have absolutely insane numbers.

I mean - if we another exceptional BB he will get force fed the ball as much as Amari Cooper got the ball at Bama.
 
The more I watch this kid's senior film the more I think I might like him more than any RB we have committed - which is saying something because I'm pretty high on MLD/Cottrell/Jarrett/Benson. He runs low with power and has a higher gear than any BB we've had since Dwyer. Really hoping we get our name called at 3.

There is always attrition and the staff knows way more than any of us. So I agree that current scholarship players - X + commits = 85, but that - X is what fans and insiders have no clue on that can adjust that formula to fit 85.

I guarantee our math of 85 is diffrenf than the staffs.

You have to be 85 when they are on campus by NCAA rules. You have no option. Saban is always 85 by then.

The gray area is being over 85 at the signing day until some time before they come on campus. That's oversigning.
 
So.. ..we're full right? So the only way we get this guy is if someone dumps us at the last minute and then this guy dumps Vandy or whoever and jumps on us, right?

They are saying we are going to sign extra now, because we will have attrition in spring.
