How many games to y'all think GT wins in 2016?

I think we will have a very good idea after game 3. If we win the first 3, we probably win 7 or 8, if we win 2 of first 3, probably 4 or 5, if we win 1 of 3, probably 1 or 2.

My reasoning is as follows. There is only win that has a higher probability than 80%....Mercer. There are two losses that have a probability of greater than 70%...Clemson and Georgia. All other games hover within 10% of a 50-50 chance. So, assuming that Mercer is a win, Georgia and Clemson are losses, and there is roughly an even split between the rest, then here's how I see it:

Wins / Losses / Attitude
5 / 7 / Slightly Pessimistic
6 / 6 / Slightly Optimistic
7 / 5 / Moderately Optimistic
8 / 4 / Significantly Optimistic
9 / 3 / Wildly Optimistic
10 / 2 / Delusional

What about 11-1 / 12-0 baybeeeeee

Well continuing with the "opposite" trend (take the number of wins I predict, subtract that number from total number of games played to get actual win total), I'll predict that we win 0 games this year. I PREDICT ZERO WINS. **Ahem!** that's zero as in Naught is what I predict.

No wins. Victoriouslessness.

This better work.

I'll go with 8 wins, but I won't be happy with less than 9. I base that on an easier schedule and the hope that injuries don't take out the complete first and second string offense again.

No reason to pick GSU other than just a slip up game. Georgia will rock us with Eason dinking the ball to their decent TE's. People keep talking about how bad the OL will be, have we even mentioned the ööööhole the defense will probably be?

Just trying to be objective. I see W's on every game every year.

Boston College - shock
Mercer - denial
Vanderbilt - bargaining
Clemson - guilt
Miami - anger
@Pitt - depression
Georgia Southern - acceptance
Duke - YouTube replays of 2014
@North Carolina - cutting cable
@Virginia Tech - Strongly worded letter
Virginia - calculating debt from firings
@Georgia - Liver failure

Vandy is the key for me. If we start 3-0 I believe we will avoid a second straight losing season. At 3-0 I predict we will win at least 7. At 2-1, I think five will be the limit. Worse than 2-1 and '15 will have more wins than '16.

Lol Vandy??? They'll score as many points as wins we had last season

I say 9-3 with a few letdowns. We get a decent bowl and win 10 games for 2nd time in 3 seasons.

Drugs are bad. We lost most of a crappy offensive line. The offense sucks when that doesn't work. Nobody can make it work when the line isn't doing their job and it doesn't matter what offense you are running. Pro style fails too. The CPJ comments indicate that this isn't getting better. Sewak might be the bright light bulb in the room, but it is becoming apparent that he is more like the TA who can barely speak English than the one who can turn the light on.

Obviously, the line had a tough year in 2015. No question. But, I think the lack of experience at the skill positions were a major part of the reason the line had such a significant drop off. The B-backs didn’t hit the holes, the A-backs were totally lost and missing more blocks than the line. It was chaos in many games. These allowed defenses to focus more on the dive and kill that part of the offense while the A-backs and WR’s let the outside game die. Rather a perfect storm.

I expect big improvements at the skill positions this year, plus a few soft early games will allow the line to gel. The defense looks like it will be much improved on the D-line and LBs – with some real talent replacing all the lost DB’s. I hate losing Gotis, that will be a big hit.

I think we need to remember that every other team we play has also taken many steps back with graduations and turnover. Maybe I’m optimistic, but I think we have some real young talent on the team and better days are coming. If the O-line improves and gets some confidence we could have a really good year.

Finally – as bad as last year was we only really got blown out in 1 game. The rest were all within 10 points if I remember correctly. Last year could have been 8-4 just as easy as it was 3-9. In the end we didn’t make the plays, but we have a lot of young talent coming up with playing experience. So, I think we have some real positives to focus on going into the season.

How many games do y'all think the Jackets win in 2016? My opinion is that they rebound from 3-9 to 8-4

I think 8-4 Georgia Tech plays 7-5 Florida in the Belk Bowl
Hopefully 8, realistically 7
