Mr. Swilling speaks of UNIs

because paint on plastic and dye in fabric are extremely difficult to match. If you ever look at the white on white combos any team wears the whites aren't even the same color.
But, in that same picture, why are directionalCarolina's helmet/pants closer than ours are? That's what I'm mad about.

I don't see a difference that can't be attributed to camera angle and lighting.

Oh, and our Athletic Department didn't give a rip so they approved them.

It can't be that difficult to find "old gold" and white. I understand that some years back color matching technology was invented. Ops, I meant to say that some decades ago ........

You're right, it's not. They did it and everyone but me hated it.

I like those just fine. But then again I haven't seen a uniform I didn't like. The variety is great!

Your Market data is wrong. We would be on par with the new Nike deal Washington State just signed for 10 years...23M LINK http://www.sportspromedia.com/news/nikes_washington_state_contract_revealed

This would ensure we do not lose any current $$ and can switch to Nike, but we will not get 6M, our Apparel just doesn't sell like the schools who can get 6M from Nike...

The thing about those 08 UNIS is that they photograph great, but in person they had a much more "greenish" look on thr Gold.

And those pant stripes suck.

Went into Academy yesterday. Display in the entrance has one GT T shirt, a Nike one, surrounded by a sea of red UGAg apparel and supplies (chairs, tables, coolers, hats)

We need a strong AD.

You ever consider taking a class in economics?

Hence the statement about needing a strong AD. Perhaps one that can change the perception of GT grads being know it all assholes (like you are being here) and win over more sidewalk fans and then sell more gear.

How do you think the AD could get more sidewalk fans?

Winning seems to have a way of increasing the fan base.

The absolute worst is going into a DQ and they don't have the full menu. I've been to a couple that only have the desserts and hot dogs and potato chips.
The one at the Hess Station in Calhoun is like that. Terrible. Berkshire Hathaway doing the minimum effort

Jesus, you are like an annoying little kid, even though you are Methuselah.

How does any company or entity rebrand itself?

Crap, I am a sidewalk fan. The third year of the new north endzone, I wanted to move down to row 1, since the entire area was practically empty on gamedays, and I wanted to move from 2 season tix to 4 season tix. If the front row wasn't available, just give me the empties next to my current seat. I am a long time season ticket holder (as was my dad and granddad), so I figured, no problem. I call about the front row and am told "I'm sorry, those aren't available" I ask if I can just stay where I am and have the two additional seats next to me since nobody sat there the entire time I have been up there. "No, those aren't available". So, I just stay at two......for about 2-3 hours.

I get called down to a co worker's office. He is on the phone with GT ticket office and is being offered the front row of the section I am sitting in. He is a brand new season ticket holder (Ohio State transplant fan from Columbus, Ohio) that I got turned on to GT football. The section I had just inquired about a few hours earlier. He says "can you tell me the row again?" the GT ticket office says "row 1". I immediately chime in and blast the poor ticket agent for telling me just a few hours earlier that no tickets were available down there and also saying the two next my current seats are not open - even though I know they are not sold. Miraculously, two tix open up on row 1 AND the two seats next to me, which had been unoccupied for two years, suddenly became available. I now have my choice of what I want to do. It is öööö like this that makes me wonder if GT ever wants any sidewalk fans or if we just want to be a cute little school like Vandy or Wake Forest. Dammit, do some damn work to put folks in the seats. It ain't just running a sale on hotdog and coke seats. It is frustrating to have Tennessee trying to get me to buy season tix (I have bought there before) while I hear crickets from GT.

Well that is certainly a depressing story. Who do you think staffs the phone line for tickets? Geniuses?

Ironically, one of my recent "personal ticket agents" just happened to be the daughter of a friend of mine that I worked closely with in our youth sports association for a long time. She went to UGA, and was working as a ticket agent in the GT ticket office.

She probably didn't care all that much about whether you bought your cheap seats in Row 1 or Row 21. Sad but true.
