I think he's making that up. Or he's taking the word of dawgs in jacket clothing.

ETA: I should add that I'm sure there are some that still want a change. I just don't think there are any that are upset at the win.

I believe it.

I believe it.

Yeah, I guess I didn't account for the idiot wing of every fanbase. Still, I believe he's taking this vocal minority and making it seem like 40% of the fanbase feels that way. That's an improper characterization he's using to make his story.

You know who you are...

"Here’s the problem. Since the win, while I’ve heard mostly from Tech fans rejoicing about the game, I’ve also heard from many fans who were upset their team won. They were hoping the Jackets would lose on the chance it would push the administration to make a coaching change. Some stuff, you just can’t make up."
I will be the 1st to admit about a month ago after the UNC debacle, i was off the bandwagon. I am back on board, it was a terrific turnaround, i did not think it could happen.

Literally the first comment I read on Twitter after the win was a GT fan tweeting Kelly Quinlan that this was the "worst possible thing that could happen to Georgia Tech football". I agree that it's a vocal minority, but their voice is not being rebuked by the majority as much as it should.

You, sir, are the douchebag.

I do my part. Did it in a thread you started if I recall.

Indeed. Although that thread was not intended as a condemnation of Paul Johnson (or even Ted Roof) by any stretch. It was merely an analysis of our current defensive performance compared to trends throughout the PJ tenure. I think Paul Johnson is the best coach GT has had since Bobby Dodd, and we are infinitely more likely to become worse with a new coach than we are to become better.

I don't understand what these people want or expect. We've had some really nice highs, a few years of the same mediocrity we got with Gailey, and one bad year. The bad year really sucked, but we've bounced back pretty well this year. The offense is pretty exciting (lots of big plays, if that's what you're into), and we mostly stay out of trouble and avoid drama.

It boggles my mind that there are people out there, besides the fringe loonies who think we could and should be Alabama, that would be unhappy that we beat U[sic]GA because doing so does not advance their agenda. That's the definition of cutting off your nose to spite your face.

Also, has anyone seen MACHETE? His last post was at 2 p.m during the UGA game thread.

Or like cutting of your head to spite your face.

ETA: Also, the fringe loonies don't want us to be Alabama. They want us to be MIT during the week and Bama on Saturdays.

While listening to some pre-game stuff on Thursday morning on 92.9, the only two "Tech" callers they put on both said they were rooting for UGA this year because they want Johnson fired. They may be the minority, (an even smaller minority after this weekend) but the majority needs to be a lot more vocal.
