Nobody knows anything about this new shade of gold. Anything in this thread is just conjecture. Seriously doubt any decision has been made.

I suspect we will have a huge rebranding effort with Adidas that will include the color, with uniform unveilings and new fonts and typefaces. With one big announcement for all of it.

They won't announce it without a big splash and lots of options to buy merchandise. Of course this is GTAA a so I'm probably wrong.

If I’m not mistaken, the current color is actually called Lincoln Gold and was chosen from the FoMoCo color catalog by the guy who was in charge of the Ford plant that used to repair the wreck.

Edit- I’ve been researching because mine needs a new paint job and I want it to be right when it gets done. I’m actually moving in the direction of a frame off restoration with some slight modernization like a 12v battery, better brakes and potentially better steering.

I like most of those golds... but I'm adamant that our uniforms (home and away) should be GWG. The occasional GGW is fine by me. I hate the white helmets.

I can't correctly remember VT helmets just that we jumped offsides on O about 46 times because their D was faking snap counts.
