I don't know about that. His last name looks like it could be pronounced rise. I'm sure we can find some way to make a phallic reference using Johnson, Woody, and Riase.

I suspect a fair number of really good P5 coaches at some point moved up from FCS programs.

As I understand it, bouncing around programs and moving up into bigger name programs is the usual route for most people looking to land a big time coordinator or head coaching role. I'm fine taking someone from that route if they are an overachieving coach from their current competition level given we aren't the type of school to shell out big dollars for the poaching targets from other P5 schools.
