Worst Losses in the Russell era

2008 Chick-fil-A Bowl. Gotta be on the list!
Bebe dropped a sure TD on the 1st drive and it was all downhill from there. Hopefully one day CPJ can return the favor for faking a punt while up 32 in the 2nd half.

Loved watching the paper airplane contest from the upper deck though.

Why do people keep saying we lost to Kansas?? We never played them, we played Kansas State away and then beat the stew out of them the following year at home. Jayhawks are not the Wildcats.

"SOMEWHERE IN, Kan. -- Kansas State followed one of the worst losses in school history with a big upset over No. 15 Georgia Tech. Kansas State put in a quarterback and promptly turned it around. He threw three touchdown passes, Kansas State beat the Yellow Jackets 28-25 and all the sudden that season-opening stinker is a memory."

Any loss to UGA, particularly where GT should/could have won, as in 2009 and 2013 -should rank as a "Worst Loss".

That being said, I have to go with MTSU in 2012 -which was the last game that I attended with my dad who passed away spring of 2013. Our first game together was Navy in 1970, we attended the 1991 Citrus Bowl, and all of the others. It sucks that it ended with the MTSU blowout.

Should've/could've against UGA?

1995 17-18 FG with less than a minute
1997 24-27 phantom pass interference with 21 seconds left
2004 13-19 Ball throws out of bounds on 4th down
2005 7-14 INT at the UGA 11 with less than 2 minutes left
2006 12-15 fake fumble for TD
2009 24-30 Thomas dropped pass with 1:28 left
2010 34-42 missed extra point to tie at 35
2013 nothing needs to be said
2015 7-13 4 turnovers, 1 missed field goal

2004 and 2006 resulted in me in the family doghouse for dropping an F bomb each time and in 2006 cussing a cousin out.

I don’t watch that game with family anymore.

2004 is on Gailey and Nix

2006 was one of the biggest BS calls ever.

Dammit, the 1997 call was right in front of me. BS

We just continually shoot ourselves in the foot

SEC Network now showing season opener against UT last year.
And UT went 3 and ****ing 9.
Should have beaten them by two scores.

Iowa game sucked pretty good too. It was cold af and we got thoroughly dominated.

I never thought I would freeze my ass off in Miami, but I did that night.
Iowa's front 7 on D was damn legit, tho. If Gilbert doesn't jump on the first play, who knows how far JD would have gone on that play. Could have set a very different tone.

What about 2005. Went down and scored on the first drive with Calvin and then the offense disappeared for the rest of the game.

I started to add that, but hell, I could write a book about it. I had to come to work and hear how Calvin got "shut down" by the Georgia CB
