Well, Jordan Huff was # 51 when he committed to us, so they promptly dropped him to # 70. We are in the mix for # 18, Ja'Darien Boykin, FWIW, but I couldn't tell you our chances. Notice that among that top 50 list, only handful of schools are represented and all are the usual "factory" suspects. That may say something about the landscape that we are competing in, don't you think?
Auburn, Tennessee, FSU, Clemson and South Carolina have always recruited the state hard. Notre Dame has too. Michigan and Ohio State have started to hit Georgia hard. And now, judging by that top 50, A&M and Texas are now recruiting Georgia. I don't recall ever seeing that before.
The competition for in-state talent is only getting tougher and deeper.
