698 yards of offense

I missed the two return TDs. How short of the end zone were the kickoffs?
 
Correction. CPJ’s offense is great except whe you really need it, last 5 minutes of a game, then it sucks. I will never understand why we do not go shotgun, when it is obvious we have to pass. Marshall would be devistating in the shotgun.

One of them was one yard short and in the corner. The other I think was within five yards. They were really not bad kicks.

Dont we save some cash by not having an OC? I tout our challenges as much as anyone, but I just cant believe that we are incapable of doing better in D and ST.

The 1st one Paul Johnson himself could have returned for a TD. The hole was enormous. You could LITERALLY put a Mack truck in that gap. At least 3 maybe 4 people were WAY out of their lane. The 2nd one was tepid and poor tackling. He was bunched up into traffic but the outside guy completely lost contain and once he managed to get around that guy it was pure speed from there on. If #80 in green wasn't a track star they probably tackle him from far side pursuit. But you shouldn't have f'n lost contain to begin with.

I don't crap on the defense as hard as others are here for this game, or at least not for the same reasons. My biggest defensive gripe was the CONSTANT if not PERPETUAL loss of contain on the rush. How many times did you see 4 white shirts more than 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage and then slow white boi QB in green does his best George Godsey impression for 6-15 yards? Happened all f'n game long. It was most galling when all four rushers were BEHIND the QB. Well gee I wonder if he'll bother to look around and walk forward at that point? CONTAIN PEOPLE. You're not playing flag football. There's no 5 Miss'ippi count and the QB can always run.
