Wish List

I'm kinda surprised no one has said Glenn Spencer. For reals. From here. Went here. Graduated. Defense minded first. Has coached at 'bigger' programs. Fantastic recruiter.

I was googling Giff earlier to see what he’s up to. That’s how desperate I am for change. I wonder if a career position coach could be our HC.

Bieliema would be awful. Dude has some personal issues that get in the way and öööö the bed in Arkansas. I work with someone with close ties to Ark program and he couldn’t wait for Brett to be gone.
I'm definitely not in the know on what went on off the field at Arkansas. Care to elaborate?

I just know he was successful at Wisconsin, and it's tough to win in the SECw.

Was it an issue at Wisconsin? I don't really care what people do in their personal life so long as it doesn't impact their ability to coach.
No idea. I only know what I heard from someone who has some connections to Ark.

Pretty sure being a drunk in Wisconsin is just par for the course.

Steve Spurrier Jr. I know he has only been an assistant coach, but he has a lot of experience as a QB coach and recruiter. I would suspect he would be given a lot of advice and mentoring help. All great coaches were assistant coaches at one time.

If he didn't have a Tech background, would you still feel the same about him?
We are not going to get a guaranteed successful coach based on where we are now from a program and financial stand point. His Tech background is a significant advantage, He understands Tech and he is less likely to leave if he is successful. He is 3-0 this season including a win over Nebraska in Lincoln. He was 10-4 two years ago.

This is why I like Godsey. His resume is about what Dabo’s was when he stepped into the interim position at Clemson.

Leach or Miles. It does matter unless we allow recruiting flexibility. No coach can win consistently with our talent level. Simple solution, bring back the standards in place in 1960 for Bobby Dodd.
I don't think segregation is coming back.

My favorite thing about these dark hours is when otherwise intelligent human beings forget that when you hire a head coach, their previous win-loss record isn't something they bring along with them and install like an offensive system or a coaching staff.
Past performance is no guarantee of future results.
Yet it's the best indicator the world's got.

D-line coach for the Chargers.
