Tech fails to sell out ticket allotment for UGA

They are the worst white trash fans I have ever experienced. Been there for the Tech games in 86, 90, 94, 98 and 01. Each time multiple people got in my face barking and just being jerks. I will never go back. They wonder why they are voted the worst fans in the SEC by fellow SEC fans...think about that for a minute.

If you buy from the Tech athletic department, the seats will likely be in the 600 level. Look at what people on the field look like from there. Why endure the experience of Athens and the traffic jam going home for that view? I would buy on Stubhub and get decent seats.

It really doesn’t make sense given the environment in Athens. Maybe the weeds surrounding the field have a calming effect on our guys? I always feel like we have a fighters chance in Athens. I’ve only felt good about a home game in 2009, 2013, and 2015.
Non-sec refs?

If we can stop turning over the ball and improve blocking somewhat, it might not be a bad game. I don't think they are nearly as great as advertised.

They certainly are not "elite status" by any means at all. They have been living off their hype from last year and even LSU is a little overrated.

We'll know for sure after their game with Florida.

I went in 2006 (still a little sick over that one) and twice in 2008 (once for Bama with my family, once for GT). After getting cursed at and having trash thrown at me multiple times, all while staying completely silent, I have no reason to return.

I ran out of that cesspool in '06 with the sound of REGGIE_REGGIE echoing all around and swore NEVER again.

I've never had a negative experience with fans in Athens, personally. Some little rat faced pimple walking out of the stadium in front of me in 2014 told his buddy "I'm punching the first Tech fan I see in the face". He eventually saw me behind him, but I guess he changed his mind because he didn't punch me in the face. I find games at Bobby Dodd with Miami in town to be one of the worst atmospheres with their trash middle school drop out "fans" filling our upper decks. uga at Bobby Dodd is probably 2nd worst atmosphere in my opinion.

Been to every game in Athens since 98 with the exception of 2012 and 2016. Yeah, you have to have a thick skin because they are redneck trash, and they seem to be at their worst against Tech. I understand why people don't go. I'm too stubborn to let that stop me. I've always bought tickets on the secondary market ever since they started stuffing us in the 600 seats.

Are you going this year?

My expierence in Athens is about the same as yours, mostly barking. The worst was the 51-7 game, section 600 and Tech people were going at it with each other over Gailey. I will never forget seeing Gailey about 30 yds. from the Tech bench standing alone. Probably trying to figure out what he had gotten into!

Oh don't be a wet vag. Mid Field is Mid Field.
This is far better than the öööö house corner sections we are given at Clemson or Va Tech.

The U[sic]GA fans have mostly left me alone the last couple of trips up there, but I still hate even being around them. They're trash. (The walk back to the car after a win is one of the sweetest experiences you can imagine, though.)

You're right, though - it hardly seems possible, but Miami fans are trashier than U[sic]GA fans. They're garbage humans, and they're much more hostile and in your face (combination of displaced Yankeedom and alcohol sales at their stadium, I think). At least some of the U[sic]GA fans actually went to school there.

@Miami is definitely way worse than @athens in terms of human trash, which isn't a compliment about dwag fans as they really are as bad as their reputation

It depends on where you sit in any stadium. Sit at 106 at BDS vs 223 and visiting fans' experience changes too. Maybe not as much of a stark difference at BDS but we sat around 40 yard line in the lower level at Hard Rock last year and the fans around us were very decent. Some trash talk which was returned but it was all in good fun. I imagine uga fans in a similar section, whom I assume would be mostly alumni, wouldn't be as bad.

Having said that, öööö all of them.
