Triple is finally gone

I agree 100%. Time for a change at Tech, I know Monken has some wrinkles that CPJ didn’t have. But triple option football is still triple option football. öööö doesn’t work when you get into an ACC schedule. Army/Navy/Kennessaw State do not play no where near as tough a schedule as us. If we only played 1 school a year the caliber as Oklahoma with CPJ I guarantee you we would play them just as good if not better than Army did. Get off Monken’s nutsack people, if we hire him same öööö different coach.
We just had a 5-3 season in the ACC...we did better in the ACC than out of conference. What exactly are you talking about?

Yes. I agree. I want a coach that’s less demanding of his players. I want a coach that wants to line up and let the best line in the trenches win. I want a coach that has less than half the resources of his competitors line up, man to man, and blow them off the ball as we ride off in the national championship sunset.

I want a coach who will fire Sewak.

I think he watched the game last Saturday.
Nothing remotely similar about those games, and not the point of the original post.

The 2006 team was stacked: Calvin Johnson, Tashard Choice, Joe Anoai, Philip Wheeler, etc., and those dudes still got boat raced @ Clemson, dropped a very winnable game against UGA, then managed to öööö away the ACC championship against Wake Forest. I sat in the rain for hours and watched Pat Nix fail to score a single touchdown with Tech’s greatest player in a generation.

Bitch about the 3O all you want. You run that scheme with those players, and you sure as öööö score at least a touchdown against Riley Skinner and Wake Forest.

The 2009 team had JFN, BeBe Thomas, Dwyer, Burnett, Johnson et al. Running that TO scheme gave us our only home victory vs UGA under CPJ in 2009, a UGA team so bad it fired its DC after its embarrassing loss to us.

That 2006 team had national championship caliber talent, and no one will ever convince me otherwise. What an utter waste of talent.

Are you talking about the 2009 team that finished 13th in the nation and won the ACC?

I hate Georgia as much as the next guy, but if you're trying to make a point about the triple option, 2009 probably isn't the year to pick.

The only time the triple option is really gone is after your mom eats at taco bell.

Go ahead and close your account you ööööing whiny bitch pussy and get your sandy vagina cleaned out.

Do they let you post like that in Belgium? Damn son.

I'm talking about the TO having all that talent and still falling on its face against a ööööty mutt team. i.e. that it wasn't as awesome as the Johnsonians are crying about.

... still scored more than any Gailey pro-set offense did against the dwags

exactly why CPJ retired. His technique was to ankle-dive at the defenders, not blow them off the ball.
