Army up 42-7 before halftime.

He ran very creative screen plays and other tidbits I've never seen PJ run. I wonder why PJ stayed in 1975 and didnt evolve this offense? Monkin looks like he's really spiced it up.

I know, very confusing. This Army team is probably as good as our 2014 team with much less talent. Monken is a great coach and loves CPJ. If he desires a bigger job, I hope he gets the opportunity.

Houston's defense looks like total dogshit; it's like they didn't even practice for the bowl game.
I was distracted, but I’m pretty sure I heard during pre game that entire starting DL is out and someone from the secondary.

I'll be damned. It's almost like, even though they run a similar offense, Jeff Monken and Paul Johnson are actually different people. I never would have thought it during our coaching search.

He was never considered. Doesn't mean he would not have been highly successful but Tstan wanted to move away from the option. He needed to recreate the GT brand so moving from the option was a necessity. Who knows maybe CGC leaves for Alabama in 4-5 years and we hire Monken?

If CGC is successful enough to be hired at Bama I doubt there will be any appetite to return to the 3O. However, if he is unsuccessful enough that Saban has to hire him for one of his coveted (by fired coaches) "analyst" positions, then the hue and cry would arise from the CPJ faithful here for CJM.

Then Stansbury lied when he said we would look for the best coach regardless of scheme. Monken will get a shot at P5 if he wants it. And his team will be successful. It’s dumb we didn’t even interview hin.

UH looks totally unprepared- and they have had horrible injuries. But, it looks to me like they don’t even want to be there.
This is a terrible pantsing on national tv. Very bad for their program.

Losing a bowl game 70-14 is an obvious player revolt.

He may be worthy of a shot at a P5, but that doesn't mean any P5 ADs will pull that trigger. Heck, no ADs in Conf-USA or the Sun Belt or Mountain West or AAC have been willing to.

If he is willing to be flexible so that he will do what it takes to win, instead of having a point to prove about an offensive system, he will stand a better chance of getting his shot.
