Marquez Ezzard is official.

I don't know, but I'm assuming there is some formal notification even for transfers. I don't even know if the proper term is still "letter of intent" for high school signee's.
According to a NCAA site, transfers do not sign another NLOI. High schoolers sign a National Letter of Intent.

Did Fields submit a medical waiver for a hurt vag? Trying to understand his justification for immediate eligibility.
He claims someone used a racial slur while at uGA. Seriously.

lol, "claims". The idiot put it out on Twitter.
This is what was on twitter

So, to recap: someone in the stadium allegedly drops n-bombs (in support of Fields) that Fields doesn't even hear and he can use that as justification to transfer and play immediately.

If they grant Fields' transfer, every player's waiver should be granted.

He was the star baseball player so they were fellow athletes. The baseball player was expelled.

All joking aside, isn't Ezzard an automatic waiver because he had a coaching change?

He did hint he'd be playing. There must have been discussions with staff where we have gotten positive feedback on status

I like how the NCAA's official website has old rules for eligibility and transfer still posted as "current".

http://www.ncaa.org/student-athletes/current/transfer-terms

The new rules are that you're allowed to transfer with no requirement to sit out if:
  • You earned a degree
  • Your head coach resigns or is fired (with the exception that you have to sit out a year if you transfer to a school employing the former coach)
  • Your school receives an NCAA imposed post-season ban
  • Your school did not give you an athletic scholarship
  • Then there's a general "other" requirement which requires NCAA approval

So when is he getting his waiver? Any news?
