read where some mentioned they thought it was not blown as traditionally done?

T / F?

And did the AllState net go up behind the goalpost on E.P, and F.G. attempts?

Yeah this needed it’s own thread.

I hadn't noticed the absence of the whistle (I'm embarrassed to say) but someone near me pointed it out midway through the game – and sure enough, there was no steam whistle.

I'd like to know what happened. Was there a technical failure? Doesn't seem like something the new regime would oppose.

I mean, they don’t actually blow the real whistle during the game. It is just a recording played through the sound system.

Point being that technical failure is highly unlikely?

The run out sucked. Didn't come out with the wreck. Waited for that half ass smoke or fire extinguisher thing.

Didn't miss the whistle during the game but now I'm pissed.

Not a fan of money down either but if the kids like it I can deal with it.

And stay off my lawn!

This was a bit of a letdown. I thought we were going to be doing something new and different for the run out, but instead it just looked like we mis-timed it. Did not work.

I mean, running out behind the Wreck is definitely a traditional GT thing that should not be touched. It's a real distinctive in the world of college football.

The real whistle is hard to hear in the stadium. The first down whistle has always been a synthetic coming from the PA. I’d be really surprised if the real steam whistle was not blowing on scores.

I’m more concerned about not running out behind the ‘Reck. To me that is like Clemson not running down the hill, Osceola not planting the flag, and the Sooner Schooner not lapping the field.

You know, I don’t remember them even introducing Buzz and having him run out and flip, unless I was just distracted and missed it.

I guess the new culture is to lessen the Wreck and Buzz, judging from yesterday. LED lights in the tunnel could still be a thing for the players, but they are meaningless to the fans since we don't see that anyway.
The Wreck rideout was very disappointing. The Wreck is one of the most unique entrances in college football. Yesterday's fan experience seemed to be full of gaffes.
My daughter wanted Twisted Taco and apparently they just weren't ready for the the opening. Same with the burger place near Chick Fil A.
Also, our official reviews are brought to us now by jello pudding, or something like that.

That is what I thought. I hope it wasn't a Reck club decision, since the Wreck was just restored again, to treat it with kid gloves from here out. The Reck club, it seems now, has little moron assholes in it instead of car loving, "we can fix this bitch and keep it running types" that used to be in the club.
I guess it is just a sign of the times. I'm old
