Miami, VT, and UVA don't appear to be world beaters, but damn we got a lot of underclassmen

Lets be honest It takes some pretty bad coaching to take a bowl team and turn around and lose to an 0-2 FCS program. The only conclusion from this season thus far is that the coaching staff, and especially coach Collins, are not yet up to this job. They may grow into it. This is what worried me from day one about Coach Collins and all the social media hype. He’s had two seasons as a HC and let’s be honest, there isn’t much track record there (it’s Temple!) so the hyperbole always felt forced and compensating for a lack of substance. Now he has to turn it down, get to basics and try to build credibility. I’m not optimistic. The sales pitch was the hype would lead to better talent, but who’s hyped to come hear now, and what if we win 0-1 more from here on?

Final thoughts... you wanna change the culture? JUST WIN BABY! That being said what I am watching is awful coaching performance week in and week out. No one expected GT to be that good ( 3-4 wins) But the Jackets aren't getting any better. Each time GT seems to move forward in one area it regresses in another.

If you think that team last year belonged in a bowl game, then you must not have watched the bowl game.
When you say CGC used a "sales pitch", what are you talking about? Should we have looked for a coach that said "I don't really know if I can win at Tech or not. But if you pay me enough, I'll give a try!"

Todays game featured incremental steps forward for Tech followed by major steps back. It’s been that way all season. Poor Coaching.....Plain and Simple! For example against The Citadel a SA mentioned having a bad week of practice....Having a bad week of practice (The Citadel Game) when you haven’t played 5 minutes of good football yet is inexcusable. Lack of discipline, bad clock management, questionable personnel decisions, and an inattention to detail at a level that we haven’t seen in over a decade.

Georgia Tech needs a coach not a hype man with his ridiculous ABOVE THE LINE junk! What kind of millennial "everyone gets a trophy" crap it that? The offense looks lost (Even with JG starting two straight games) and the defense looked confused and its all because there's different guys on both sides of the ball for each and every down. There is no consistency from one week to another with this ATL bull and it makes it difficult for the players to grow together with a revolving door at each position. Don't try to reinvent the wheel. I've never seen a team with show so much lack of discipline.

we did belong in a bowl, especially after getting to 7-4 with some decent wins
We just got the sheet beat out of us in the one we went to
Is Minnesota still unbeaten this year?

also .... college football hates the transitive property

I'm confident of 3 things:
1. Nick Saban could not win more than 2 games on our schedule considering the talent on the roster, the transition, and the injuries. You cannot win football games at the HS or CFB level starting Freshmen and Sophomores.
2. Regardless of whether you or I like the hire or not. Geoff Collins is here for AT LEAST 4 years AFTER this season.
3. You, me and other Tech fans can't control the coach, the players or how they play. We can only control our support.
Go Jackets!
