At this point with Kirby

There is no doubt in my mind that Burrow is the best QB in the country this year.
I'm not willing to go that far yet. He's definitely one of the top two but if I had to choose between him and Trevor Lawrence, I'd take Lawrence.

I chose Burrow for his uncanny ability to get out of trouble and make something out of nothing, in addition to his ability to take a hit. I don't think Trevor Lawrence, due to his size, is nearly as agile as Burrow. Don't misunderstand my choice as saying I wouldn't take Lawrence if given the opportunity for the Jackets because both are very very good college QBs.

Pittman gone. Not a lateral move like Chaney took but still... Not a good data point for a robust culture.

The throw and release movement of Trevor Lawrence looks so damn quick to me.
Is Pittman the OL coach?

been saying for about a year now Kirby is more like Muschamp than he is like Saban. and he lost to Muschamp.

I don’t know about more like Muschamp than Saban but if you’ve got a good QB and you’ve got good WRs and you can run tempo without substitution you can put up major points against Kirby Smart... Oklahoma (nearly twice), Texas, LSU, all of them had the same game plan when they throttled Smart.

...and the fact that LSU is much better than they are. Whether folks want to believe or not, LSU always seems to have players, but they usually have less than stellar QB play. With a QB AND an above average complement of supporting staff, they tend to be very good. There is no doubt in my mind that Burrow is the best QB in the country this year.
So Coach O has given us the blueprint.

Not only did he screw up with letting Fields get away, he has taken two quarterbacks (Eason and Fromm) who have gotten mention as top draft picks and cratered their hopes.

some uga fans think Kirby didn’t let Eason take the job after his injury because Fromm is a local product. Eason was supposed to be the second coming of Christ and ended up transferring. I haven’t heard much about him since.

Fromm went from being talked about as a top 10 draft pick to discussion of him coming back next year because his draft stock plummeted.

Eason is doing all right at Washington but Petersen leaving puts his NFL stock in doubt. He can throw but needs more time to shake the things that haunted him at Georgia. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the NFL for a few years.

I think he’ll get into the league, but he’s a far cry from what he was considered after his freshman year at uga. All the talk was he made throws that only Peyton or Tom could make. Under Kirby he went from Peyton/Tom to Matt Schaub.

I have a friend that is a big time, influential booster, alumnus at UGAg...he told me that Kirby is on a very short leash and he has...at the most....two more seasons to win a natty or the discontent will get nasty among the boosters and they will go coach shopping.

No way in hell will they waste 16 years on Kirby like they did with Richt. This guy is in his late 50s and attended during the Herchel years and that age group of Gaggers are furious that 39 years have gone by without a natty. They desperately want one before they die.

GO JACKETS!!
