Should help their fan base get over the losses that, once again, keep them from winning a national championship.
I thought this required BOR approval (or something along those lines). If I'm wrong, then GT is moronic for not doing this sooner and will be insanely stupid to let UGA do it when GT doesn't.
Mom?Having so much to drink that you can’t make it to the game is a fine college tradition.
I once spent 15 minutes vomiting into a trash can on the way to Bobby Dodd and decided to turn right around and go home before I passed out.
Getting boozed up and yelling obscenities is as old as sport itself. What state of mind do you think the Roman spectators were in when they attended gladiator matches at the Coliseum?I hope GT never does that. I like the family friendly atmosphere at Bobby Dodd. The last thing I want is to bring my kids to a game and hear a bunch of foul language from drunkards.
The logistics of adding alcohol will be made more complex than necessary. If they would just station 1-2 beer men at every portal I think the situation would resolve itself. It would also help if we open the stadium 2 hours before gametime and offer discounted beer prior to gametime. There is more to it than just adding alcohol to the menu.
Jeez, even without alcohol sales the lower east stands concessions should be expanded out into the street area. It is a farce to say just add alcohol. It won’t make a damn dime if it adds to problems already in existence with more and bigger problems.
And it is very doubtful that a school incapable of running a P/A system during games could randomly add the sale of alcoholic beverages without massive outside input and help.

As to the family friendly aspect of selling alcohol, I believe it has been said many times before but it is worth repeating. People who want to get wasted are going to do so whether there is beer for sale in the stadium or not. I do not envision those siting around me drinking in excess if given access to overpriced beer.
