What a fall from grace for Wells. Can somebody remind me if he and King were on schollys? If so it will be good to replace them with two PWOs for our roster management this off season.

Yes, both were on scholarship last year. I knew at least one wouldn't be this year.

AJC article says King will graduate in summer and already accepted a job. Not bad for half a dozen field goals or whatever it was? Wells had some good moments and got a year of school paid for. Best of luck to them and Hansen too.

Wells had a good ride for part of the 2018 season, then had some problems for 2019 after he was awarded scholarship.

The team made 3 field goals for the entire season last year. 3 for 8 or something between the two. That’s has to challenge for the all-time low for any team in the modern era of football.

Field goal kicking was bad last year. I’m not going to say any more than that and that I’m looking forward to seeing what some new blood can do.

I wonder what happened with Wells? Anyone know?
In terms of his struggles or his decision to leave the team? It was pretty much a given he wasn't going to be on scholarship this year. Schollies given to walk-ons have to be re-earned year to year. What happened with his kicking, I dunno. 2018 was a small sample size to begin with, only 9 attempts and mostly short ones.
