what are your expectations for year 3? Let’s establish a baseline now, so when yoI make these kinds of posts next year, we better understand your metrics.

Undefeated season and BCS championship like most year 3 coaches in a total rebuild

I just am not sure what everyone's expectations were heading into this season. Would you have felt better if we'd beat BC and lost to Louisville? Did anyone here expect a much different record after these 6 games....if so what? 4 ACC teams lost by more than we did yesterday against other teams yesterday.....UNC had one less penalty and won. This whole poorly coached narrative is pathetic. Takes time to get talent needed to compete heads up.

Oh.....and OP crying about uniforms needs to go take a look at some of the trash we had in years past
Getting better.

We’re one of the most penalized teams, we have nearly the most turnovers, we have the most kicks blocked/missed in the country, by admission of the head coach we have major assignment discipline issues on defense, etc.

Very little of our issues causing us to öööö the bed are talent based at this point. That’s a lie.

My question was serious.
Jts is an idiot. He thinks we’re bitching about a win loss record. I personally don’t give a $hit about us not winning in year 2 of a rebuild. But we should expect to see disciplined play. It is blatantly obvious that our coaches do not have us ready to play in any phase of the game.

What is your definition of discipline? Penalties?

Minimum expectation is minor stuff like not having BC score more points against us than they had scored in all of their prior games combined. And not having a record setting bad day against Clemson.

Irrelevant. Are we better than UNC because we beat FSU? UNC pounded NC State yesterday with exactly 1 less penalty than we had against BC

This is very Ross like in his first few years. And yes, I know Ross is a better coach. Collins needs to aspire to be a Bobby Ross.
Well, so far it’s been very much like Ross’s first 2.35 years. Those teams made many of the same mistakes this team is. Curry’s boys quit on Ross, and it may be Johnson’s boys quit on GC. However, Ross was a great evaluator of talent and his players changed the culture.

But recruiting is very, very different from what is was in the late ‘80s and to complete you gotta have a salesman that does things Collins is doing. We need to wait for year 3 to see where things are on the coaching front.

I think all four are very good actually. Gibbs is easily a different caliber.
I think Jamious is very good. Just not as good as the others.
Jamious is more of a bruiser. Very similar to Mason but faster and quicker.
Dontae is very similar to Gibbs, not nearly as fast or shifty.

There's just no room, or he might be hurt.

Why would you do that to yourself
Because our watch party location got switched twice. By the time I sat down to have my first drink Tech was already playing and playing like öööö. I didn’t care to drink much after that first drink.

Any one data point like this is fairly insignificant, but such data points are starting to accumulate...
